Really beautiful hotel! Location is great, our room had a balcony from which you could see lots of the island and the garden was really nice, too. Staff was very nice and even sent us some recommendations via WeChat which were really helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Hospitable reception. A old villa. The wall in my room was not so clean. It has dark batches. The breakfast provided was terrible. The villa was green and peaceful is the hallmark to my stay as the house is 100 years old. Historical value

Nice hotel in a historical manor. Great location on the island. Interior design in same style as building makes you feel like traveling in time but with all the needed comfort. Simple but nice breakfast. Welcoming staff and 2 cute (and not bothering) dogs. Big terraces. Highly recommend booking one of the 2 3rd floor corner rooms. Highly recommended !

The hotel was so peaceful and beautiful. My two daughters especially love to play with two cute dogs in the hotel garden.

My parents and I stayed at the family room on the second floor. It was a nice room with views on the front. Staff was friendly and communicative.

This is the most surprising hotel on this trip. It is a garden building from the Republic of China with a strong historical heritage and antique style. The owner is very particular about the decoration of the hotel. The service is warm and thoughtful. He also kindly provides maps and guides. The seafood noodles for breakfast are very delicious. I will come again next time!

Very satisfied, the store is very welcoming, the environment is elegant, the service is thoughtful, the breakfast is rich, especially the back door can go directly to Moonlight Rock, the early morning mountain climbing overlooking is very pleasant. Although the B&B is located in a small alley halfway up the mountain, the signs are clear, the mountain is quiet, and it is not far from the pier, so it is a good choice. Gulangyu is very beautiful, especially in the morning before tourists gather on the island.

The hotel was renovated from an old house. The owner's meticulous furnishings are also reflected in the hotel. The rooms are fully equipped. There is a good kitchen nearby. It fully meets your travel needs.

After playing in Xiamen, I landed on Gulangyu Island with my friends and children. The walk was quite tiring, but the scenery along the way was beautiful. I heard that there was a chance to see pink dolphins, but it was a pity that we didn't see them haha. I booked the Lilac Garden after choosing a hotel for a long time. I originally thought the location was not good, but in the end I found out that the location is not bad. It is in the middle of the two piers and can be reached in about 10 minutes. It is not too far from the attractions. There are steps to the store, and the housekeeper was very enthusiastic to help us carry our luggage. Thank you very much. We did have a lot of luggage. When we were leaving, another elder brother also helped us carry it all down. If a child left something behind, the elder brother would be right behind him. It was really great to run to the dock and deliver it. The store has a large yard and many potted plants. It is like a hidden garden. The wind blows very cool at night. We celebrated our children's birthday here, and our family and friends were very happy. Finally, we would like to thank the boss for giving us breakfast. The noodles are very delicious and suit our taste. Gulangyu Island is very good. I will come again if I have a chance. I will still choose Lilac Garden next time I come.

External environment of the hotel: The hotel is a three-story small Western-style building (with a loft outside) renovated on the original site in 2014. It has an old-fashioned feel. There are small gardens in front of and on both sides of the hotel room. In particular, there are three trees planted in the garden in front of the house. Centennial longan tree. In the midsummer season at the end of August, the branches are covered with old longan trees. Sitting under the tree feels like stepping back in time. It gives a sense of history. There is a back door in the garden on the side of the house, and you can walk to the secret place of Moonlight Rock in 2 minutes. Internal environment of the hotel: The first floor is actually a semi-basement with slightly poor lighting. The second floor is the living room (public space) and a guest room in each of the four corners. It is antique and has good lighting, but there is no terrace. The rooms on the third floor are the best. All rooms have a terrace. Room 301 is the best room in the hotel with very good lighting. Open the door next to the bed and you will find the courtyard terrace. The terrace has a square table and two chairs. You can sit on the terrace to eat fruit in the evening, or in the midsummer of August. In the season, I reach out and pick a few longans from the old tree. The feeling is sweet to the heart, and the breeze is very pleasant. The fourth-floor attic is the landlord's own apartment and is not open to the public. Room facilities: The furniture is old-fashioned, the bed is moderately soft and hard, and the bedding is pure cotton, soft and clean, making it feel like home. There is a small refrigerator in the room where you can freeze fruit snacks. The room provides 24-hour hot water and is divided into wet and dry areas. Breakfast: The hotel's breakfast provides noodles, soy milk, fried dough sticks, eggs, and side dishes that are very popular in southern Fujian. They are very delicious. If you want to eat sand tea noodles, you can make a reservation a few hours in advance for 60 yuan per serving. Service: The two male front desk staff, one old and one young, are very enthusiastic, always smiling and greeting guests, and they also take the initiative to pick up and drop off guests at the pier. The aunt in the kitchen makes delicious noodles, and the cleaning aunt is also very careful in cleaning. Transportation and Shopping: The living area is on the left hand side when you go out. There are fruit shops, supermarkets, braised vegetable shops, and seafood shops. Walk 670 meters to Sanqiutian Pier , 550 meters to Neihuang'ao Pier, the road is relatively flat. It is also relatively close to Sunlight Rock and Bagua Tower. Suggestions: It is recommended that the hotel fix the desk in the room so that it does not keep shaking.
