I took my parents to Wuyuan for fun and chose a county hotel. When I first arrived, I felt that the hotel's location was a bit remote and the appearance looked quite ordinary. After entering, it was completely different. Although the hotel lobby is not big, the texture is very good. I made a few requests before coming, and the hotel called me twice, which was very considerate. After entering the room, it was completely unexpected. The space was large and the bed was also large. It was cold in the morning and evening when I went there, so I asked the hotel for a bed quilt. The hotel air conditioner was not very good, and the staff was very enthusiastic to help us. The half-star deduction was because we were tired from playing and came back to take a nap. Someone knocked on the door to ask about cleaning and the breakfast variety was relatively small.

A very satisfying experience! First of all, the geographical location is in the Huangling Scenic Area. You can directly enter the scenic area when you get out of the hotel elevator. The environment inside the hotel and the room environment are very classical and unique. I booked a family room, which is a single-family villa. The living room with high beams on the first floor is very simple and atmospheric. There is a room on the second and third floors, which is very suitable for a family to live in, and it is pet-friendly! The hot spring swimming pool is directly surrounded by mountain views, and it is beautiful when the sun sets! I have recommended it to my friends, and it is worth the trip! As for the service, check in at the visitor center at the foot of the mountain, and there is a shuttle bus from the parking lot to the mountain, which is very convenient.

Family of 6 with 2 children and a young baby. The resort grows on you. I say resort as it's not a conventional hotel as such. Its designed and styled as a mosaic of accommodation types spread out amongst the large grounds, or Scenic Area, as its markted. This was confusing and after a long journey to reach the 'hotel', we had to first check in at a enormous building which is also the public entrance for day visitors to the resorts attractions. Our taxi from the station (which declined to use the meter, ¥20, dropped us on the main road and not at the entrance. Not great with our excessive luggage. We were then transported on extended golf buggy style vehicles to what was the opposite end of the resort. The accommodation was very comfortable and well designed. The only fault is the long walks to the facilities such as breakfast (in another hotels restaurant). That said, you can call for a buggy pick up. On check in we were informed the large water park was not open until later in the season. Too cold apparently, despite being in the high 20c's. A lit of the resort appears to be in state of construction with empty shells of buildings scattered about. By the end of the 4 nights, we warmed up, literally, to the style of resort, the colourful scenery and facilities, those which were open. It's a bit far put of the centre of Wuyuan, though there is nothing too exciting to see in the city centre.

Houtang Manor was built on the original site of Houtang College in the Ming Dynasty. The whole took protective restoration and repair of the old houses of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is said that this is a homestay, more like a museum is an ancient Huizhou manor, as if the most distinctive buildings in Wuyuan have been moved here. The stone monument 400 years ago seems to be telling me what to say ... Before I came, the housekeeper pulled the group, 8 people in the group, 7 to 1 service! From pick-up to arrival and all-day arrangements have been arranged. To be honest, this is the best service homestay I have ever stayed in! The butler took us to visit and explain carefully one by one. It was really beautiful to look at the snow outside the window in the room! Horse riding experience, national style afternoon tea, put Kongming lights It’s really great for a family holiday. This trip to Wuyuan is really perfect because Houtang is perfect!
