The most uncomfortable hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Had to move rooms as first room had no shower. Staff helpful in sorting this but moved to another room that had tiny bed and had to listen to trickle of the silly fountain in the courtyard. If you can choose somewhere else in town like the Hilton please do!

Faulty Towers would be a better option then this hotel….food is terrible….senior staff are unhelpful…they even decide how much drinks you should have….and having a decent conversation with your friends is completely not allowed….the pillows in the room are flat as a pancake….& the lack of soundproofing is a joke….how they rate themselves as 4 star is beyond me…please do not book this terrible hotel.

Una cattedrale nel deserto se confrontato per il livello generale assai elevato della struttura; un hotel di lusso con un ristorante allineato per proposte “divertenti” cucinate abilmente. Ormai un’abitudine, tanto da valere lena del detour…

Stayed as part of a conference booking. Mixed views not just from myself but those who were attending the conference. The evening dinner was average. Seated with no bread on the table which we found odd. Our starter was Smoked pate which came with nothing to put on the pate on, normally you would be served pate with toast or similar. This is where the bread would have come in handy. We had to ask the waitress if we could have some bread to which she said she would need to check. When the bread finally came out, 9/10 of us who had the pate had eaten! We weren't blown away by the main course. It was ok, but for the cost nothing spectacular. Bedrooms average. Again for what you pay I'd at least expect some amenities in the room, bottled water for one. From the outside walking the courtyard corridors it's obvious the place needs a lick of paint. It doesn't scream to me luxury. The staff I have to say were extremely friendly, and very attentive. We stayed at the hotel due to location. I personally wouldn't pay to stay here, for the cost I feel it's overpriced especially when there's better 4* hotels in the area which are luxury from top to bottom.

There were around 8 of us consists of 4 couples relaxing on a fairly warm Thursday night following a Wedding invitation we attended; a class on its own may I add. The service through Out the night were excellent and in particular by one of the Asian Staff whom never fails to ask if there is anything we needed. now thats what I call doing an extra mile. what an asset team you have indeed. We have forgotten her name and will definitely mention it on our future visit.

Had a lovely time at the Gorse Hill hotel. Came for the Prestige award, and stayed for the restaurant. The restaurant food was great - very interesting and gluten free options too!. Got great waiting service from three women. They were all really good, but a special thank you to Evelyn for her warm, attentive service. Thanks for a great evening.

Have now had the pleasure of staying at Gorse Hill on two occasions. Lovely hotel with attentive staff set in beautiful gardens. Meeting space well presented, various size rooms and access to refreshments throughout the day. Food and accommodation what you would expect front 4* hotel

Thorough enjoyed my stay at this lovely hotel, very relaxing despite a busy work schedule. The staff were all very good and breakfast delicious with good quality ingredients. Lots of private parking in the nice grounds. A couple of minor niggles, the water wasn’t very hot and parts of the exterior look a little tired but nothing to drop it from 5 - 4 stars. I would definitely stay again on business or for a leisure trip.

This was probably my sixth or seventh stay at Gorse Hill over the years, been here multiple times for various events as it's quite local. This time a friend booked a room and pre-paid a non refundable rate, but was actually unable to stay for the night due to change in personal circumstances, so I stayed or the room would've been empty and breakfast wasted. It was Room 35 next to the hotel gym in the outside building opposite the main manor house which is an accessible room. Due to this room being furnished for guests with disabilities, there is no bath, only a large shower area in the bathroom. Good that the Rituals toiletries are still here, but it's disappointing they don't have any box of tissues anymore or even shower caps, come on, this is certified a 4 star hotel, at least put tissues the the usual amenities. At least they now have Nespresso machines as well as the usual instant teas and coffee. Such a shame the weather was wet, it was a Sunday and they had a wedding fair on, so the lounge was all re-furnished for their wedding venue as was the main restaurant. The TV set in my room obviously needed re-tuning as I was unable to get a signal on several channels which was very annoying. The food here has always been good, but overpriced, £18 for fish and chips! Okay they do a very good fish and chips, but it's London prices and this is Woking. Very good cocktails, though. The staff are always friendly, for breakfast it was temporarily in the small dining room because of the restaurant still being laid out for a wedding display, it wasn't that busy being a Monday morning. Staff handled it very well considering it wasn't the usual breakfast dining area and I got a hot chocolate as requested very quickly. Breakfast is only served until 9.30 on weekdays. It was disappointing about the TV not working properly and there needs to be a few tweaks here and there, but I still had an enjoyable stay. Great that they have a small, but well equipped private gym and I stayed right next door which was convenient.
