There are certainly independent reasons to visit Windhoek and the hotel. In my case we were using it as a stopover for our trip to Botswana and Namibia. Everyone was super nice there. The rooms are large and very clean. The restaurant is the standout with an incredible wine list. Like many places in the world outside of the US it is not much a cocktail culture so if you like certain cocktails- for example a Manhattan - you should think about alternatives. We enjoyed our dining experiences there. I would suggest sticking with meat options though it appeared the fish was fresh and they cooked it whole. Also, the oysters were quite good.

Die stilvolle Anlage vereint charmante Geschichte mit luxuriösem Komfort – ein echtes Juwel! Vom herzlichen Empfang mit Welcome Drink bis zum unkomplizierten Late Checkout wegen unseres Rückflugs – hier wird pure Gastfreundschaft gelebt. Die Poolanlage ist idyllisch und ruhig, ideal zum Entspannen. Besonders beeindruckend ist die Panoramaterrasse mit weitem Blick über Windhoek – der perfekte Ort für einen Sundowner in traumhafter Atmosphäre. Das Abendessen im Restaurant Leo’s war absolute Spitzenklasse – kulinarisch ein echtes Highlight. Das gesamte Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Ganz billig ist es sicher nicht, aber jeden Namibia-Dollar wert – ein würdiger, unvergesslicher Abschluss unserer Reise

Hotel Heinitzburg ist ein ganz tolles Hotel mit wunderbarem Service und sehr schönen Zimmern. Das gesamte Personal (inkl. Chefin) ist sehr nett, zuvorkommend und liebevoll. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten einen ganz tollen Abend im dazugehörigen Restaurant. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Sehr schönes, gediegenes und ruhiges Hotel in einer Burg. Ideal für Personen, die keine Hotelketten, sondern Individualität suchen. Großzügige Zimmer mit klaren Farbkombinationen und harmonischen, zum Burgcharakter passendem Interieur. Aufmerksamer, sympathischer Service. Frühstück vielfältig und vorzüglich. Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr gemütlich. Wir haben jedoch die Sonnenterrasse zum Frühstück genutzt. Der Pool ist sehr sauber und schön angelegt, in Namibia ist dies ja leider nicht selbstverständlich. Liegen sowie Sonnenschirme standen uns zur Verfügung. Erholsam und gut war die Massage, die ich mir nach unserer anstrengenden Rundfahrt gegönnt habe. Abendessen wurde im angrenzenden Leo‘s at the Castle angeboten sowie ebenfalls auf der Terrasse. Köstlich! Wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen sicherlich wieder! Herzlichen Dank an das Management sowie das tolle Personal dieser besonderen Unterkunft!
