Das Thule war der Beginn unserer gebuchten Selbstfahrsafari. Positives vorneweg: Das Personal ist ausnehmend freundlich und zuvorkommend. Hotel und hoteleigener Parkplatz werden durch Wachpersonal gesichert. Der Blick auf die Hügel Windhuks ist sehr schön. Die Zimmer verfügen über eigene Safes. Mein Zimmer war riesig und sauber, stammte jedoch aus einer anderen Zeit. Hier wünschte ich mir eine Generalüberholung. Das Hotel wird deutschsprachig geführt. Das Personal spricht vor allem Englisch. Das Frühstück war variantenreich, aber einfallslos. Als Start einer Namibiarundreise völlig in Ordnung.

This hotel is on a beautiful site. Originally a family home. It has been upgraded to hotel. However it is a bit tired .. specially the bedrooms. Kind of old style It is owned by a trust which makes it a little bit impersonal My husband really liked his curry dinner

The stay was excellent. The staff also was very friendly and professional. Located in the Eros neighborhood, the view of the city in the sunset are stunning.

The last stop on our three week visit to Namibia, Hotel thule was a great way to end our trip to Namibia. Exhausted from an extensive driving trip, we arrived at Hotel Thule as an overnight before our flight out of Windhoek back to the States. Hotel Thule is a beautiful hotel, with very comfortable rooms and beds. Situated on top of a high point in Windhoek, you have awesome views of the surrounding city and mountains. The bar offers beautiful views and well crafted cold drinks, and the restaurant, offers incredible food, great drinks, and an incomparable view to go with your dinner. Our flight from Windhoek was not until 5 pm, and check out was at 10 am, which left us needing a place to be for a few hours. The manager stopped by our table to check on us, and when he heard we needed a place to stay for a while, gave us a day room to use until we left for the airport. That type of kindness was the norm during our time at Hotel Thule, and was given to us by every member of the staff. I cannot say enough about this excellent hotel, and would highly suggest staying here if you are staying in Windhoek!!

Hotel is prachtig gelegen nabij het centrum van Windhoek (toch rustig) met een prachtig overzicht over de stad (vooral bij zonsondergang). Ongeveer een klein uurtje rijden van de luchthaven dus ideaal om na een lange vlucht wat tot rust te komen. Vriendelijke bediening, zeer lekker eten. Kamers zijn ruim (wel wat 'gedateerd', vooral badkamer en vast tapijt in de kamer).

Door omstandigheden, afgebroken vakantie bij rondreis Namibië hier 3 nachten doorgebracht na medische “consumptie “ Mediclinic. Grote kamers met werkelijk perfecte bedden. Uitzicht werkelijk onvergetelijk vanuit dit Arendsnest. In 1960 toen het werd gebouwd lag het buiten de stad. De eigenaar is hoogbejaard en leeft m’n in Duitsland. Het management team bevlogen, ontbijt goed. Voor het avondeten komen ze uit heel Windhoek, met Moederdag volop brunchende Afrikaanders en Duitse locals. Ook veel nieuwe zwarte middenklasse die graag komt eten.Eten werkelijk bijzonder goed. Mijn vrouw kreeg extra aandacht vanwege Mediclinic, waarvoor onze dank. Door omstandigheden hier gekomen, maar ws beste uitvalsbasis voor Windhoek. Op tijd reserveren , want ze zitten eigenlijk altijd vol. Een aanrader. Topteam in service in restaurant en bij de kamers. Ps goed zwembad

we spent a final night and day here after our Namib horse safari and it was the perfect wind down location. The room was spacious and comfortable, the food was good and all the staff were warm and friendly. Wolfgang went out of his way to help us and even drove us down the hill to visit a pharmacy. An oasis of calm in a wonderful city.
