Die Gästefarm wird seid Januar 22 von einer sehr netten 3 köpfigen Familie und den Angestellten liebevoll betrieben. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Hohewarte ist der perfekte Ort für das Ankommen in Namibia und auch das Abschied nehmen. Die Gästefarm liegt zwischen Windhoek und Flughafen und bietet sich optimal für den Beginn und/oder das Ende einer Namibia Reise an. Geschichtsträchtiges Haupthaus aus der Kolonialzeit, sehr schön eingerichtet im Kolonialstil. Große Zimmer, schön eingerichtet, sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wer Ruhe sucht, wird hier fündig. Am Abend absolute herrliche Stille... Das Essen unsagbar gut, es war auf unserer jetzt 7ten NamibiaReise das beste Dinner, das wir hatten,super lecker. Dazu ein guter Wein und ein guter Brandy, sagenhaft. Und zum Frühstück frische, noch warme Brötchen, ein Gedicht.Danke für alles, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Perfect place to start your trip across Namibia. It's only a 30 min drive from the airport, but it already feels far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and is very peaceful and tranquil. The hosts are extremely welcoming and happy to provide recommendations. We enjoyed typical Namibian food (fresh Oryx that was hunted by the lodge owner and deliciously prepared). Rooms are nice and cosy and perfect to relax after the long flight. We are already looking forward to returning to the same lodge at the end of our round trip before flying back home.

Eine grandiose Unterkunft mit sehr leckerem Essen und tollen Gastgebern. Das Bett war sehr angenehm und die Zimmer sind sehr schön gestaltet. Die Atmosphäre beim Essen ist sehr schön und die verschiedenen Aktivitäten, wie die Wanderwege, etc. machen viel Spaß.

We stayed on the farm over our last night in Namibia and we couldn't choose better place. This place has expectional historical vibe. We were the only hosts and were sleeping in the building of the old collonial post. Family room was huge and luxurious, very clean. We slept in absolute silence. I made beautiful hike on the morning with beautiful views. The food was amazing. We had welcome drink, delicious homemade food for dinner and breakfast on the terrace with breathtaking view. We got homemade ice cream too ! The breakfast was the best from all the stays in Namibia. Just make sure if the swimming pool is ready to use, we could not swim but it wasn't big problem for us. We could stay longer on the morning before our departure home, which was very helpful. Thank you very much to the whole family that we could enjoy the last hours of our holiday in Namibia.
