The biggest advantage is that it is close to the station. If you arrive late at night, you can get there in a few steps after getting off the train. The room is OK. There is a big supermarket at the station

This small hotel is close to the train station bus, and there is a tavern next to it, which is very convenient. It is on the second floor, the room is not big, but the facilities are complete and very clean. The bed is 1.3 meters, which is best for one person to sleep on, but it is a bit crowded for two people. Fortunately, it was cold. It was very quiet and I had a good rest.

Be careful when booking this hotel. There is no front desk, and check-in depends entirely on phone calls, which is similar to the underground party. I took a shower for 10 minutes in the middle of the night and there was no hot water. I was embarrassed to call with a head full of shampoo. At first I apologized, feeling embarrassed to disturb others at night, but the store owner was very impatient and said that I had run out of hot water. After asking for the room number, I was asked to restart the water heater in the gray cabinet on the pink wall and wait for 20 minutes before hot water came out. I tried to explain that there was no pink wall and gray cabinet in the room, only white wall and white cabinet, but was interrupted twice by the other party, who shouted: "Don't talk! You are not listening to me!!! Listen to me!!!" Damn, I haven't seen such accommodation conditions and service attitude in so many years. My friend lives in another room, and he also ran out of hot water halfway through his shower this morning. There are many accommodation options. Booked to stay over new year. Unfortunately, I became ill. Tried to call back the owner Liam and no response. Eventually,I got a hold of him and asked if I could move the dates. Yeah sure. After another week no response. I then called him multiple times to then get a refund, as he did not respond to me. 5 weeks later and he has give me only a 50% refund when he promised a full refund. Proceed with caution, make sure you definitely can go, or you won't get your money back let alone get a hold of him!

Great location but not much else…
I’ve had a more comfortable nights sleep in a hospital bed! I went on a hiking trip with my son so we weren’t in the room much. However, even after an exhausting day of hiking in the Lake District neither of us could get a decent nights sleep.
There was no workable way of heating the room so it was freezing. The beds were so uncomfortable and no one had changed the sheets while we were out. Other than the main light there was only one small lamp on the other side of the room, so no way to put dim lighting on to try and relax after our hike. I also had a luminous green fire exit sign above my bed bombarding me with its jade glow all night long. The walls were paper thin and on separate occasions both me and my son could hear a couple in another room absolutely going at it!
To top it off if you left the bathroom door open after a shower for more than twenty seconds it set off the fire alarm.
The hotel was in a great location and the self check-in with codes to the property was perfect for our late arrival Friday night. However, at just shy of £300 for 2x nights out of season in January, I think maybe some actual human interaction would help justify the cost.
There was also no parking at the property, so with all the parking restrictions in the area I had to keep driving up and down the one way systems of Windermere to try and find somewhere to park.
Supposed to be cheap and cheerful but neither really…
