The room is relatively small and cramped, the double bed is only 1.35 meters, the living comfort is average, the location is OK, you can see Lake Windermere, it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the pier, and about 5 minutes to drive by yourself, which is OK, but not very satisfied with the hygiene. The coffee cup I took for breakfast had obvious tea stains on it. There is no elevator in the hotel, and you have to carry your luggage upstairs

The property and the ambience is lovely. The view from the restaurant garden is very pleasant and beautiful. The room size, bathroom size and amenities were good. We faced 1 major problem to be precise which made us a bit sore.
Cleanliness - the room was clean except for the carpet. It didn’t feel like it was vacuumed. There was probably a pet staying in that room before us and there was a lot of hair on the carpet. I understand it is a pet friendly property and I have absolutely no problem with that. But cleaning the room properly before the next checkin is a basic expectation. We couldn’t step on the floor without our feet being covered with hair.
Apart from that, everything else was very good. Breakfast was also good and the customer service was very polite and hospitable as well.

Lovely traditional hotel in extensive grounds. Very dog friendly. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

Room was a good size. Plenty of parking available. Swimming pool was nice. Nice view of the lake from the gardens. Very friendly staff. Lovely food. Pleasant gardens. The lounge was relaxing with nice sofa .
Some minor issues:
Lack of shower pressure ， toilet wouldn't flush properly, blood stain on the floor of the toilet, took ages to get hot water through for showering
