這家民宿走到湖邊十幾分鍾，房東夫婦待客熱情。由於這次選擇住頂層，大箱子都是男主人提上去的。房間較大，一張大床還有一個沙發床，有冰箱，裏面有牛奶和水，房東還準備了自己烘焙的檸檬小蛋糕。早餐可以根據菜單前一天晚上選擇好，女主人早上現做。離開時請女主人幫忙聯繫出租車，聯繫不上男主人就免費送我們去火車站了。

Andrew and Abigail are such wonderful hosts of this beautiful guest house . We loved the breakfasts , tasty home made food in a lovely dining room . Our room was perfect for our needs with a nice large bathroom . The location is great with an easy walk to Windermere in one direction and Bowness in the other . There are some lovely walks which can be done from the Guest House . Andrew was very helpful on suggesting walks in the area . We both loved it and hope to go back again .

Outstanding from start to finish, Abigail & Andrew are such lovely and welcoming hosts. Room was spotless, comfortable and everything you needed for a relaxing, comfortable stay. Loads of parking available and the breakfast was outstanding ( Abigail won the scrambled egg challenge, sorry Andrew). Would highly recommend as the must stay place in Windermere. Possibly best B& B we have stayed in.

Ivythwaite Lodge is a beautiful house with many original features. It was a bonus to have a fridge in the room. We appreciated the warmth of the property and also the excellent service provided by Andrew and Abigail. The breakfasts were delicious and cooked options could be ordered the night before by text. Most of the food was locally sourced and Abigail’s home baking was great. The property was in a quiet location but easily accessible to Windermere and Bowness. The comfortable bed ( ours was a 4 poster) made for an excellent night’s sleep. If going to the area in the future we would certainly book again.

Didn’t disappoint!
The hosts were very attentive, and the property was absolutely lovely. The food was excellent. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Heaven on earth The perfect escape Beautiful accomodations Amazing hosts Abigail and Andrew The perfect place to relax and unwind Very accessible to Bowness and Windermere and the lakes as a whole. The hosts personal touches are lovely. Simply the best.....as Tina Turner would say.

Absolutely fantastic, Abigail and Andrew, down to earth hosts and gave us some great advice on things to do, we spent 2 days in room 5 in the gables, and it was our home from home , in fact we didn't do a lot of the stuff we planned because we enjoyed our room so much xxx breakfast amazing, waffles and fruit 😀... thank u both for a fabulous weekend...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was very nice and the bathroom was nicely appointed and modern. Breakfast was wonderful!! Lots of extras in the room including homemade pieces of cake upon arrival. Andrew had lots of suggestions for a day out which was so helpful. If we have the opportunity to return, we would definitely stay here again.
