We contacted the Lodge a few weeks before leaving the UK to ask them if they could pick us up from the airport which is about 10 mins away, they said they could and even though I gave them our flight details said we would have to call them upon landing. When we arrived our mobile phones had no signal and our flight was the last that evening and the airport was closing. Fortunately a Europacar member of staff called Peter came to our aid and gave us a lift to the Lodge. Check in was easy and the staff were pleasant and helpful. We had a meal in the restaurant, unfortunately the standard of food was quite poor with only the frys being good. Our room was large and the bed comfortable, but it was very dirty with mould on the walls and ceiling. Breakfast again wasn't up to much and after our experience the evening before decided not to have the cooked part. The location, grounds and pool are all quite nice. There are a lot of very positive reviews for this Lodge, so maybe we were unlucky with the room we were given. I do feel that maybe Covid has had a very negative effect, as it appears to me that there has been a lack of investment for a few years.
