This guesthouse is a little gem! Beautiful rooms, immaculately presented, comfortable beds, coffee, tea, and sugar in little jars, so you never run out, nice toiletries too. Really well placed for a 5/10 minutes walk into town. Downhill going. Uphill coming back, but the 93X bus from the station stops right outside the door! We had room 1 ,at the back, so was nice and quiet. Sonya, the hostess is the most loveliest person, she greeted us as we parked, free parking ,which is brilliant for Whitby, directed us to our parking bay. Then took our bag to the room, and explained about keys etc. We asked about restaurants and buses, she got us a timetable and sent restaurants recommended to my phone. Nothing is too much trouble.she us just lovely! Well worth a visit. We will be back! Thankyou Sonya, you're a star!

Lovely Guesthouse, very helpful owner, she guided Simon in and out the car park, spotlessly clean room, plenty of towels, milk, tea, coffee and hot chocolate, comfy bed too, exactly what you need after a night in Whitbys many pubs, we'll definitely be back

Lovely friendly host ,room clean and fairly spacious with plenty of tea coffee ,hot chocolate and biscuits. Great location as close to shops and harbour etc. Only problem we had was on our last night we couldn't get the tv to work but too late to do anything about it as left early the next morning.That was just a minor hiccup to us though. Overall a lovely pleasant stay and we would recommend to others .

What a beautiful place run by a lovely host (Sonya) who was so very attentive and lovely. Spotless - room was massive and the bed was so so comfy. Proper homely place - and ideally placed for a very short walk to the front and town centre. Perfect stay - thank you for making feel so welcome - we will be back!

Lovely stay here we were greeted by Sonya who showed us to our room no7 it was very clean with a nice shower which worked perfectly and TV on the wall and kettle and a few little extras a galaxy hot chocolate each with ginger and vienese fingers.A nice park over the road WE WILL RETURN.

What a lovely place Sonia the host was lovely and very helpful room was lovely and clean and not to far away from town about 5to10 minutes depending on how fast you walk and had parking to which is a bonus would definitely be staying here again when we visit Whitby again

Thanks for the stay at Rystone. Sonia was really welcoming and so helpful. Made us feel like we would want to stay there again, maybe for 1 or 2 nights depending on season/availability. the bed was comfortable, there was parking for us. Very happy thank you :-) Donna and Lee

Had a great stay at the Rylstone Mere, Sonya, who is the owner was very friendly & welcoming. The rooms are very well looked after with modern decoration. Parked our car right outside the door, with Sonya's help as she was looking out for us when we arrived.
