Great hotel ,5 star service from the staff , livley place to sit and wstch the sunset , can't wait to return to one of whitbys finest hotels , hopefully soon ! Thank you to the lovely receptionist who was super friendly and very helpful to me and my dad , we will be back 100% .

The location and scenery of the hotel are amazing. It should be the best hotel in Whitby. Facing the sea, you can see the ruins of the monastery when you look up. When I went there, the hotel was under renovation and there was no elevator. It was a bit tiring to climb to the third floor. Many foreigners just sat at the entrance of the hotel to watch the sunrise and sunset and enjoy life.

Hall way to the rooms we nice and warm how ever the rooms were cold all night should have slept in the hall way would have been warmer to be honest

The hotel is run down. The room window is single glazed and has massive gap leaking cold wind. The heating doesn’t work- you have to put electric heaters on. The hot water was cut off during the night. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
