The Esplanade

A superb location. Lovely hotel! This is both an amazing location and an amazing hotel. Rob, the host, was a perfect one. He welcomed us, told us god places to eat etc and explained how the car park worked. The room was amazing. Clean, tidy and with the most amazing sea view. Coffee making facilities, toiletries and towels were pristine and the building was in superb condition. A really restful and comfortable stay If I had a single issue it was the car park. I found it stressful to leave a car in it blocking other cars in who might want to go out so moved it to a paid car park during the day. But having said that it was great to have somewhere to park overnight. I appreciate the restrictions of the space and it is dealt with well. Overall I would really recommend this hotel and will hopefully return soon. I know the dining room is being refurbished and look forward to breakfast in the future!

Restricted parking space esp.for larger vehicles e.g.estate cars

The Esplanade was such a wonderful place to stay on two nights of our latest Coastpath section. Our room was beautifully decorated and had an amazing view of the beach. The bed was sooooo comfortable that we were guaranteed a blissful sleep and the addition of a deep bath enabled a welcome soak at the end of a days walking. Our host Rob was so helpful from the start giving us extra information on the area which enhanced our walks. Rob is a very generous host and helped us out even after we left the hotel by accommodating our car while we walked the next stretch. Always cheerful, informative and humorous! We highly recommend a stay here!

10/10! Rob made everything clear and simple from the moment of the booking. On arrival the entrance is welcoming and the room was immaculate. I couldn’t fault it. I’ve no negatives to fault it was absolutely perfect I’ll be staying for longer next time! I will absolutely be recommending other visiting family to stay here. Thanks Rob!

The esplanade was absolutely superb, just enough room to make us comfortable, a balcony with a view and our room was spotlessly clean! perfect spot . We had room 3 which was on first floorwith a balcony.The room was clean in fact spotless.Lovely decor.really comfy bed.There is free parking at back ofhotel.We have a blue badge and got street parking outside the doorGreat value for the price.
