10/10 this hotel is we stayed there for 3 night, such a lovely relaxing hotel. The food was amazing to the breakfast in the mornings such great selection of food, we booked a meal for 1 of the nights & it was beautiful. To the staff everyone was so friendly definitely be back.

Just a 2-minute drive from Rosslare Ferryport, the Old Orchard Lodge offers its guests home-cooked cakes and scones on arrival. This 4-star bed and breakfast is located in the heart of Kilrane village surrounded by lawned gardens. The property has free private parking and free Wi-Fi. Bedrooms at Old Orchard Lodge are spacious and bright, with views out onto the walled gardens. All rooms are en suite and come with a TV and tea/coffee-making facilities. There are rooms and facilities located on the ground floor for less able guests. Breakfast is served in the light and airy dining room, with an extensive menu including a full Irish breakfast, pancakes, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, omelettes, and even porridge with Bailey’s Irish liqueur. Special diets can be catered for. Rosslare Harbour has many pubs shops and restaurants, and Kilrane itself has several places to eat. A shuttle service can be arranged to and from Rosslare’s ferry and train station.

Arrived at the hotel to a lovely welcome from receptionist Noemi, and the troubles at the hotel went downhill. Was given a room at the back of the hotel, that seems ok, but on closer examination, this room shouldn’t be allowed out to the public. The toilet wasn’t cleaned, and the grouting around the bath was very unhygienic. Had dinner onsite and although some of it was good, other elements weren’t. The next morning at breakfast was a disaster, the server couldn’t get anything correct. The only best part of the hotel was the staff Noemi and Jenny, I reported an incident to Brendan and he appeared very stand-offish and couldn’t care less, not a good look when working in the hospitality sector.
