Richmond Hotel

So this hotel just screams friendliness and welcome. It's frontage is clean well kept and the most colourful. The host Jonathan is helpful and welcoming and that's great to find. The rooms. A little small but I'm there to sleep not dance around 😂 managed to fit 2 German shepherds and all their gear and 2 adults with enough luggage for a week (we were there for Fri to sun ) being diabetic he kept my insulin in a fridge and there was no probs gaining access to it. Bathroom was plenty big enough and very clean. Breakfast was lovely cereal, juice, tea or coffee, toast, and cooked breakfast as well as other choices. Great staff. Very hard working and wonderful to see the love for running this establishment is still there after 20 plus years. I recognise and appreciate that being an ex landlady. Working 7 days a week from the moment the hotel awakes til the minute your head hits the pillow can drain you anyway. Thanks for babysitting my partner sat afternoon and ourselves and the dogs will definitely be recommending and revisiting 😊😊 🐕🐕

Had a lovely time staying in this hotel, the owner was very welcoming and friendly, bed was really comfortable and we had a really good night's sleep, we also had a Seaview which was lovely to wake upto in the morning, breakfast was nice aswell the bacon was cooked perfectly, the only downfall was there we no hash browns!!! Everything else was perfect, it's not overpriced, it's in a great location 5 minutes from the town centre. John had great customer service skills and we will definitely be back again very soon for another visit!!

Only as a last resort Only stayed here as limited choice of alternative hotels. Basic accommodation, decor and style tired and dated. Poor electric shower that barely worked. Thin walls and cosy room size (for 3). On the plus side bed was fairly comfy and plentiful tea/coffee making facilities.

No heating had to have electric heater, had to pay deposit of £20 for a tv remote, took around 20 minutes for shower to go warm to have a shower.

Family vacation A very nice situated hotel close to the beach. Great service and we would definately come back here again

Lovely little b&b well worth the value Spotlessly clean, staff are exreamly friendly and cant do enough for you. The rooms are comfortable and typical of a british b&b but have to comment that they are spotless and have everything you could need. We went out of season so unable to comment on the bar meals but the breakfast was hot and plentyful. Id definitely return. Its a little gem of a place
