Pros: The hotel is in a good location, the sunset is beautiful, the plants are beautiful, like a big garden. The soaj is very comfortable, facing the sea. Cons: The room facilities are a bit old, the service is average, the mini bar and sunset wine in the room are charged items, the signs are not clear, we thought they were free items, and the cost of calling a taxi for the guests is very high. Overall evaluation: The hotel is average, not worth the price of more than 3,000, and the cost performance is not high.

It was just amazing, amazing.... thank you for making our holiday, especially the celebration of my husband’s birthday so so special. We loved everything, the lush stunning green garden, the jetty with sunset view, the excellent cuisine, the team, the spirit, the tasteful decors in the room and also around the restaurant… all your great efforts and attentions to the details. My partner and I stayed at Zanzi Resort for our honeymoon, and wow! What a spectacular resort. We were treated with so much love and kindness that we felt we were dreaming during our stay there. We had the bungalow with a private pool, which was very clean and tidy, both inside and out. The exceptional staff made our stay there one of our most memorable stays in Zanzibar. I would like to personally thank Emanuel for going above and beyond to make my partner and I feel so at home and loved during our stay. You would be the reason why we would return to this resort :) Thank you! Regarding the facilities. The pier had a nice lounging area and the swimming from it was fantastic. There were SUPS that could be used free of charge to paddle around the scenic coastline. The beach is not as picturesque as some of the northern beaches, but the very tropical setting of this resort makes you feel that you are on a long-lost tropical paradise island. The restaurant was fantastic, and it was the best food we had during our trip to Zanzibar. They even have a little platform that leads from a tree and enters the beautiful restaurant where bushbabies come down to sit on during dinner time! What an experience. All in all, I highly recommend this gem of a place, and we will definitely return to this resort when we return to Zanzibar.

We stayed in a beautiful villa at Zanzi Resort with its own private pool and the setting and surroundings are stunning. However, what let it down is the dinner menu on both nights. We were presented with a five-course tasting menu but no matter how you dress it up, 'sticky chicken wings with fries' for a main course does not fall under a fine dining experience. This is the type of dish one expects to have at a fast food restaurant and not at a five-star resort like Zanzi. Even on the first night, I found the stuffed aubergine with chicken main course to be very stodgy. The dinner service on the first night was excellent but on the second night, it was a bit haphazard as we were served the wrong items and also dishes were served very late. The jetty at the resort offers stunning views, including a beautiful sunset.
