We were really excited about our stay but found it extremely disappointing. We had an issue with our transfer that was handled poorly with no apology. Service at the resort is terrible.
Whilst the resort itself is nice (accommodation is lovely) the beaches on the main island are far superior. In our opinion, not worth the money.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Bawe Island. Les villas et les prestations de l’hôtel sont vraiment à la hauteur de sa réputation : confort, cadre idyllique et un service attentionné qui fait toute la différence. Un immense merci à Given, notre majordome, qui a rendu notre séjour unique grâce à toutes ses petites attentions et sa disponibilité. Toute l’équipe est d’ailleurs aux petits soins, ce qui rend l’expérience encore plus agréable. Le seul petit bémol concerne la restauration et les cocktails : au vu du standing et des prix pratiqués, nous nous attendions à des saveurs plus raffinées. Ce point reste à améliorer pour que l’expérience soit vraiment parfaite. Dans l’ensemble, un séjour inoubliable que nous recommandons vivement 🌴✨

We had the most wonderful family vacation at The Bawe! From the moment we arrived, everything felt perfect – the warm welcome, the stunning views, and the peaceful atmosphere. We were upgraded to the Zanzibar Villas, which felt like paradise! A private beach, private pool and more which made our stay truly magical. The resort is big, so it’s more comfortable to have rooms that are close to the main restaurant – it makes getting around much easier, especially with kids. The rooms were beautifully designed, comfortable, and full of thoughtful details. The food was absolutely delicious, with something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Special thanks to the amazing kitchen staff and the chef – we had the chef’s special, which was incredible, even the kids loved it! The kids got to enjoy an electric vehicle, which made the vacation even more fun and special for them – they couldn’t stop smiling! A special shoutout to Kennedy and Beno for making our stay extra special – their attentiveness, warmth, and care really made us feel at home. This was the perfect mix of relaxation and family fun, and we left with so many great memories. We can’t wait to come back!

Experiencia top Bawe Island Resort, la combinación de hotel, habitaciones, comidas, poca gente y sobre todo el trato personal, en nuestro caso atendidos 24x7 por Ritha fue insuperable, con restaurantes de lujo como un italiano (Sinfonía) con horno traído para pizzas traído desde Italia, o el Beach Club donde vimos los atardeceres solos disfrutando de un ambiente tranquilo y único. Sin duda un sitio para repetir

We had the most amazing stay at Bawe with our kids! From the warm welcome at the pier to the smooth transfer back to the airport, everything was flawless. Our butler Ritha made the whole experience stress-free, arranging dinners and taking care of every detail. The villas combine local charm with modern comfort, and the white sandy beach and pool are simply stunning. The food and drinks were excellent — thank you Steven for your wonderful hospitality! With our family’s dietary needs, we felt so well looked after by restaurant manager Preetam and the kind team — Irine, Agnesse, Khadevu, and Apia. Housekeeping by Aysha was discreet and perfect. Andrea made our water activities unforgettable — snorkeling and boat rides were a highlight! And the kids absolutely loved the club — thank you Martha for the warm care. A truly magical place where everything is Hakuna Matata!
