Very friendly and welcoming, accommodating staff who are helpful with requests and a fab location right in the centre. Nice breakfasts. Rooms are exceptional value, albeit some areas / parts of the rooms are a little rough around the edges. Would definitely visit again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We were recommended to come here for lunch as how good it was too!, We received a truly friendly welcome and felt at ease straight away. The lunch too was very nice which consisted of a fish cake with salad and a steak & mushroom pie. The pie when it was served was far too much, so rather than wasting the spuds, I asked for a little box so that I could take them home and use them in a salad for dinner.. Wish granted!.. We enjoyed our stay, albeit not long , and thank you again for your excellent hospitality!

We had a very simple wedding reception here. The pub was able to cater for all our needs. The food was incredible! We mixed up our times slightly, however they were able to bring everything forward quite easily.

Only stayed 1 night, wouldn't stay again. It wasn't clean and it's desperately in need of some tlc. The breakfast room was sad and tatty. Having said that, the breakfast itself was very good. The selection of beer at the bar was very poor, mainly just lagers. It's a shame as Wells is a beautiful town, but there are much nicer places to stay.

Just had a roast at The White Hart , absolutely fabulous . As a trained five start myself ; I could not fault it . Good sized portion ; quality ingredients , presented superbly. Had the 28day aged topside of beef , was cooked to a turn. Plenty of piping hot vegetables , roasters to die for and the Yorkshire was out of this world. If in Wells do not miss this gem of an establishment . They also have 18 taps of all sorts of beer from local brewers , a craft beer lovers utopia !!! Will be back …. ( soon !).

Probably the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in! Our room (no. 14) was large, very quiet and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. The hotel was only minutes from the historical sites we wanted to visit and had plenty of places to eat within a few minutes’ walk, plus convenient disabled parking just opposite. Our only criticism was that some of the flooring was rather ‘tired’ , e.g. cracked tiles in the bathroom, but overall a very good experience and somewhere we’d be happy to stay again.

Absolutely fantastic stay!From the welcome from Wilbur,(top man!),to the breakfast and evening meals(both lovely),to the comfy beds,the location,the room itself,the overall ambience of this marvellous little gem of a hotel in the beautiful city of Wells,our stay was wonderful! Faultless!Special mentions for the afore mentioned Wilbur and also Caitlin,Ade and Ty!Thanks for making our stay extra special!We will definitely return!
