Comfortable hotel with parking. Everything was great. Love the self check in system. Only note for location is slightly away from town and it’s more suitable for travellers with a car. Overall it’s a good experience. :)

Unfortunately there were only 2 young lads working in the whole hotel.
They didn’t seem very knowledgable, they charged me for the stay although I had already paid through trip - they did refund me, but that was after I went to speak to them showing them my bank statement.. and my husband then had to go back again to get the refund sorted! For some reason speaking to me wasn’t enough!!
They had hardly any meals available in the restaurant. Only burgers!
The room itself needs a massive uplift, the bathroom looked really unclean and falling apart.
Really sad stay considering it was part of a Christmas gift.
Definitely won’t be returning.

Very disappointed with the lack of facilities. I checked in online expecting to scan a QR code on arrival but this wasn’t working so we had to queue. We were advised the restaurant wasn’t open due to lack of staff. This was most disappointing after travelling so far. In the room, it was as though it had been set up for a single person: not enough towels, not enough tea and coffee. Not the service we’ve come to expect from Premier Inn.

Bed was comfortable as always with Premier Inn. Bathroom could do with a refresh and shower curtain needed replacing. Dinner menu was reduced to a sheet of A4 and the quality was poor. Had to wait for an hour for the food to be served as well.

I booked for a work trip and needed somewhere to do some online meetings. I spoke with someone the day before check in to ask if possible to pay to check in early, they said I could and there was availability. I turned up early and kept being told a room was not ready yet but would be soon. Come 3.30 (30mins past check in) trying to use self check in as no staff around, wouldn’t work. Eventually a member of staff came and lo and behold room still not ready. I patiently waited and eventually was checked in. Then came dinner, I came down around 8pm and was given a limited menu which had no detail as to what the meal had with it, when asked for the normal menu the lady said no this is all that’s available. However it states to refer to the normal menu to see what it included and also what prices were? Was very disappointed as the options were extremely limited. Only one lady trying to take orders and look after 20+ people. Someone asked her what is the reason for the limited menu as they had paid for a meal deal and which didn’t equate to what we being offered on the limited menu. She said no staff. The recent reviews had stated this however this is an absolute shambles. How they are running a business and having people stay here is bad. Do not recommend staying here at all

We've stayed here several times in the last few years even though COVID and I can honestly say it's the worst experience we ever had. You now have to pay for parking but that doesn't guarantee you a space so if you leave the hotel and come back later you have to park on the verge which apparently you're not supposed to do. Self check-in wasn't working and we had to buzz for a member of staff who didn't seem overly happy she had to check us in. We used to be greeted with a smile. Commented that we hoped we weren't on the ground floor to be told we should have rang them to make sure we got a room where we wanted. What happened to the request box when booking? Had a reasonable night's sleep apart from room doors closing loudly and banging in corridors. Bathroom was clean but could really do with black mould on shower curtain and tiles dealing with. Breakfast lack of staff one young girl doing everything. (Not sure where the other staff went) Lack of clean plates (one chap had his hot breakfast in a bowl) told it'll be a long wait for clean hot plates use small ones instead which of course soon ran out also. Not great. This used to be a good place to stay with friendly welcoming staff. It's gone downhill drastically this time.

We were told nothing about the parking charges at all and have now received two £90 fines for two days! Premier Inn have washed their hands of it and we have been told to contact Horizon Parking, which of course is a typical l parking company designed to extract fines from you and offer no service whatsoever. Poor form on Premier Inn I think for being no help at all. I use Premier Inns at least 10 times a year, will think and look twice before booking again.

On arrival after paying for an early Check in we were then told their was no restaurant services due to lack of staff. We then told despite being a blistering hot day there was no bar service either. We were advised to go into town to get food and returned to find there was still no bar service again due to lack of staff. Which after insisting on our part was then installed. Before accessing our room we were told if we wanted more towels we should find a member of the house keeping staff and request them as the room despite being booked a month in advance, had only been set for one person. After our evening trip Into town we returned to the hotel and the bar were we purchased the worst and most flat beer I have ever had. This was duly returned. The morning continued in the same vein when we told there was no bacon the eggs would be a couple of minutes, which turned out to be 15 and the croissants would be a further 35 minutes. In total a stay more befitting of Faulty Towers or a Jeremy Beadle sketch. WI would urge anyone thinking of staying here to enquire as to what they can actually expect when they arrive in respect of service and provisions. I for one wouldn't ever contemplate using this facility ever again
