Hotels in Shimei Bay/Xinglong Resort, Wanning

The resort is really beautiful, and because the compound is big, you don’t feel like there’s a lot of people. One drawback is if you’re flying to Sanya airport you need to take a 1.5 hour taxi ride to the resort. What’s worse is the route going from hotel back to airport is blocked because of roadworks which means we had to find alternative transportation otherwise it would take double the time. I wish the hotel had mentioned this when we booked, it really inconvenience us a lot as we were travelling with family. I only realised this the day before leaving the hotel and only then I decided to change to high speed rail. Overall if I ever come back to Sanya, I would come back to this resort, but maybe without kids the next time!

Sanya has a place I absolutely *must* visit every year, and that's Wanning. Wanning is a place I'd go to 10,000 times and still want to return! Le Meridien is also the hotel where our kids never want to leave, year after year... 🌴 **Stunning Public Areas & Soft Sandy Beach** Stepping into the lobby, you're immediately greeted by the azure sea, blue sky, and the island opposite 🏝️. The lobby bar is wonderfully cool, and they even arranged afternoon tea for us while we were checking in – who can resist such joy? 😄 We quickly changed into our swimwear and headed straight for a dip. The family rooms are super convenient, with direct access to the kids' pool. The 6000-meter private beach is uncrowded and picturesque, with fine, pristine white sand. The area around the Horizon Restaurant offers picture-perfect shots that need no filters! 😄 🌴 **Squirrel Farm 🐿️** An idyllic day living amidst nature! This farm, nestled between the blue sky, beach, and coconut groves, lets kids experience being a little farmer for a day. They can pick fresh vegetables to feed the small animals. There are adorable bunnies 🐰 that sweetly chase you for veggies, as well as pigeons, chickens, ducks, geese, and sheep who will spontaneously break into a lively 'concert' whenever they please. And of course, the stars of the show are the little squirrels scurrying above your head. It's a joyful day for the kids, and an enviable one for mom! 😂 🌴 **Beiye Planet Kids' Club** The kids' club at Le Meridien has become an old friend; we always enroll our children here. The indoor and outdoor activities are constantly varied. You can even paddleboard on the river next to the Squirrel Farm! If it rains, they have indoor crafting, whack-a-mole games, and an indoor playground – giving moms the perfect opportunity to snap some beautiful photos! 😄 🌴 **Sea Adventures** We pretty much experienced all the sea activities here that we didn't get to do in Sanya: sailing ⛵️, banana boating, family snorkeling, and speedboat rides 🚤. It’s truly not hot out on the sea, just filled with happy screams! Since all these are hotel-organized activities, we felt completely at ease. Snorkeling was a new experience for us, taking place near Jiajing Island. We got to see corals 🪸 and small fish up close, and even feed them. The accompanying instructor will take photos for you 📷. My advice: don't bring anything along, as it'll likely get lost. Wear long-sleeved and long-legged swimwear 😄. 🌴 **Hidden Gem ~ Crabbing Expedition 🦀** After our beach BBQ one evening, we were fortunate enough to catch a pink sunset, and my little photographer brother captured some truly 'life-defining' photos for me. Spurred on, our crabbing squad set off! Armed with headlamps, we shone them on the little sand crabs on the beach, and they'd freeze. A mineral water bottle works best for catching them. Dad found a fantastic spot where crabs seemed to 'drift' over like pieces in a connect-the-dots game! From around 9-10 PM, there's an area next to the river where we paddleboarded during the day, specifically near the reef and the beach in front of the Squirrel Farm. Perhaps due to the high tide, crabs floated in one by one. Prepare a net, or just use thick gloves to grab them. Don't ask me how I know – everyone here becomes an expert! 😂 🌴 **Dining at Le Meridien** During our stay, we dined at the Chinese restaurant, Horizon Restaurant, and enjoyed the beach BBQ buffet. All were excellent and perfectly suited for families, especially the beach BBQ buffet. With a live singer and a stunning sunset, the atmosphere was truly magical! How should I sum it up? My son asked me very earnestly: “Mom, can I please stay a few more days? I still want to play!”

The rooms are incredibly spacious, offering direct sea views and a clear sight of the Shenzhou Peninsula lighthouse. The ocean views are absolutely stunning, and at night, you can fall asleep to the gentle sound of the sea. Both the bathroom and the vanity area were also very generously sized. Car transfers were provided upon arrival, and the staff were very accommodating. They even offer a dedicated shower area for guests after check-out, which is a thoughtful touch. The hotel also boasts two swimming pools. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel; it offers excellent value for money.

I stayed at this B&B and someone swiped their card into my room while I was sleeping... I was disturbed twice! Summarize several advantages and disadvantages 1. The courtyard environment of the accommodation is really beautiful, consistent with the actual pictures. The B&B is also newly renovated, the sanitary environment is also OK, everything is very new. On the first day of check-in, I planned to take more photos to share. 2. The store owner's service attitude is also very good. When we get off at the B&B, they will take the initiative to help us with our luggage and check in. 3. The newly renovated room has a strong smell, which makes people feel uncomfortable when they enter. The air conditioner needs to be turned on for several hours for the smell to dissipate. 4. The transportation is a bit inconvenient. It is inside the village, and it is very rural. It is very inconvenient to travel. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the street at the entrance of the village, and 5 minutes by car (the road is especially dark at night), so you can only rent a car to travel. 5. Security and privacy are not high! ! ! If you are a single girl or two girls, you need to think carefully because there is no gate here and people from the village or outside can come in freely. 6. Combined with point 5, I was worried about this issue when I checked in at night. As a result, I was still sleeping in the room early the next morning when someone swiped his card and came in directly. (This kind of probability problem really happened to me.) We were still sleeping soundly when someone opened the door and we were really scared! The store explained that the cleaning lady was cleaning the room opposite ours and opened the wrong door. What I was thinking? ? ? So unprofessional? Moreover, she only knocked on the door once and didn't say anything. She just swiped her card to come in. And if it was the cleaning lady who cleans this homestay every day, how could she have misread the room number? ? 7. There is no safety lock in the room. When I stay in a hotel, I usually lock the room when I sleep, but this B&B doesn't have one. 8. When traveling, the first thing to consider is where to stay: convenient transportation, comfort, safety and security. (Additional information: The room is not very big, and there is probably no place to put a suitcase. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, but the toilet has a weak flush!!) (Additional information: There are a lot of mosquitoes on the first floor. When I turned over my clothes, I found a gecko coming in. When I went back home at night, I found a snake skin at the door. It was really hard not to worry 😕)

Temporarily decided to come to Xinglong to play for a few days, and the hotel was booked casually, and the result exceeded expectations. Environment: Newly renovated, the first and second floors are net red restaurants. When I arrived, I knew that the breakfast was the queue to get the number. The restaurant has more than 500 meals for 3 days. The parking space is sufficient and free. Facilities: The whole house is smart, and the design of the moving line is very reasonable. Sleeping at night is very quiet. The most troublesome problem with staying in the hotel is that the sound of the central air conditioner at night affects sleep. This room is really quiet. The bath water is very flush, and the decoration of those chain hotels that definitely exceed the same price is very careful. Service: The service is also very good, all smiles and responds to requests. It really exceeded expectations. A small suggestion: bathroom hair dryer, install a shelf, no place to put it after use, the basin on the table splashed a lot of water, it took not long for the hair dryer to enter the bubble. In addition, the first night of the stay, because the fire alarm seriously affected sleep, if the hotel gave a small gift or a small dessert, it would be much more comfortable. The room was spacious, and the bathroom and toilet were separate – a great feature. It was also very clean. The laundry room is conveniently located on the first floor, with wash and dry facilities. The staff were all lovely, especially one thoughtful female staff member who helped us carry our luggage to the room and even brought us some fresh fruit. A big plus is its proximity to the island. The guesthouse provides electric scooters for guests to borrow, making it a super convenient 10-minute ride to get around. What's more, being slightly off the main island means it's wonderfully quiet. I slept soundly until 10 AM! The overall experience was truly excellent, and I definitely recommend it.

Very clean and warm service A very pleasant trip and accommodation. It is very convenient to go to scenic spots and eat places I will patronize this B&B next time. I hope the door lock can be improved for safety reasons. It will be safer for children.

I have been doing a long time strategy to find this famous hotel near the seaside of Shimei Bay. It is very close to the sea. There is a big swimming pool downstairs. It is very beautiful. The photos are very beautiful. The owner of the hotel was a few young people. It was midnight when I checked in. The boss sent us the route and password first and upgraded the suite for us. 🥹🥹 The environment is very clean. The supplies are disposable. The cups, toilet sets and bath towels are disposable. This is really good. It is very hygienic. Every day, there are fruits to the room. It is suitable for young people who pay attention to details and hygiene. The best thing is that there is a free battery car at the homestay! ! Traveling is invincible and convenient, Wanning is not big, walking and stopping, driving a battery car is much more convenient than driving a taxi! ! It’s super comfortable to drive a small eDonkey and blow the sea breeze. There is coffee at the front desk, you can pick it up and it’s delicious. When taking a taxi, the boss was afraid that we would be cheated by the driver, so he asked us about the situation 🤣🤣🤣 The experience is very good 👍 I will stay here next time I come to Wanning.

I like this B&B so much. It has an American retro style, is beautiful, clean and refreshing, and you can take a lot of photos. It has everything a B&B should have. The front desk lady is beautiful and kind! ! My partner didn't bring a laptop, so he borrowed the store's computer to work (a hard-working office dog). The service was thoughtful and considerate. The breakfast at the B&B was really delicious as described in the comments 😋 This is the most satisfactory choice for coming to Wanning. You can park at the door of the B&B. We rented a car and drove ourselves, so it was very convenient. I saw that there was also a charging station for the electric car. With the continuous development and construction of the surrounding area, it should be better to come here next time~ I don't write comments easily, but I am willing to leave a souvenir here.
