Breakfast is simple, but the quality is very good and it is very comfortable to eat. The room is super large and super comfortable, quiet around, very close to the station, the oversized bay window sill sits up to drink and see the night view, very comfortable

We have opened our first accommodation under Ito-Wokashi Hotel Management Co., Ltd. in Misonocho, Wakayama City! -Concept of Misono Oyado- The interior is designed in a modern Japanese style with a dark brown color scheme. The furniture and cutlery are stylishly crafted from warm wooden materials, creating a cozy atmosphere. We welcome you into a serene Japanese space, featuring sandalwood incense at the entrance. This property has been renovated from an empty house located in a shopping street. The first floor serves as a shared space accessible to the public, while the second and third floors are exclusively available for guests to rent the entire building. On the second floor, we have a tea space where you can enjoy hojicha (roasted green tea) and "Kawazoe Tea," a black tea produced in Wakayama Prefecture. For the hojicha, please enjoy it directly in the teapot with the tea bag. We also offer two types of coffee: one with deep richness and pleasant bitterness, and another with a refreshing acidity. Additionally, we are excited to introduce a new blend of coffee infused with Kawazoe Tea from Wakayama Prefecture. This coffee preserves the flavor of the tea leaves, offering a refreshing taste that allows you to enjoy a sense of Japanese culture even in your coffee experience. As a delightful treat, We also carry Kishu's famous confectionery, ``Wakaura Senbei,'' as tea sweets., for your enjoyment. Our bedding and original samue (traditional Japanese workwear) are made from "Wazarashikyou" gauze, ensuring you a restful sleep without carrying travel fatigue into the next day. It may be a new hotel. There are fewer reviews. I took the risk and tried it. It is very good. It is at JR Wakayama Station. Note that it is Wakayama Station, not Wakayama City Station. Wakayama City Station is the Nankai Line Station. Kansai Airport comes out. JR takes 2 stops to Higeno Station. Transfer and get off at the opposite platform. Take the east exit of Wakayama Station, go straight to the road, exit the east exit, you can see it in front of the left, the hotel has a hot spring, the pool is relatively small, there is no outdoor, it will be bubble relief is good, the lobby also has free coffee supply, walking distance to Kintetsu Department Store (JR station is), Wakayama City, very convenient.

When a typhoon hits Wakayama, there are no people on the street. There is a 711 behind the hotel, which is very convenient. The room is larger than expected, with a separate toilet and washroom. There is a small window, you can see the outdoor scenery, it can be opened for ventilation, and there is no wind or rain, which is perfect for typhoon days. We brought our baby to stay and ordered two breakfasts. The grandpa at the front desk directly gave us six breakfast coupons for two days. We were so touched, especially when we rushed here in the wind and rain. The breakfast is very rich, and I like the cold tofu and curry rice the most. There is also a self-service drink machine, and the Calpis soda is great! Will stay here again if I have the chance!
Hotel has its very own natural onsen, with the waters bubbling up from 1500 meters below ground. Free parking.

Hotel traffic is quite convenient. It is not far from Ji Sanjing Temple Station. The hotel is mainly local passers-by and local Japanese to wash the hot springs. Many foreign tourists should not be very old. It looks a bit old. The breakfast and dinner are pure Japanese. Not very rich, but the price is not high. The hot springs are still very good. There is an indoor and outdoor mainly for locals to go to the hot springs. The temple next to it is also a good attraction to experience the hot spring leisure. It is worth it, because the price is not high and the surrounding is quiet.
Facilities: Generally, hot springs can also
Hygiene: very good
Environment: not prosperous
Service: Very good

Wonderful location. Very clean. Good service. Friendly and helpful staff.
We experienced a mild earthquake in early morning. There was announcement after the alarm to the hotel room after the shake. However, it was only in Japanese. It would be better if the announcement could be in English as well. Anyway, the reception took our call and explained the situation quickly.

GGuest UserCandeo is right on Wakayama-Shi Train station, which makes it incredibly convenient. Sound-proofing ensures perfect sleep and no disturbance from trains or traffic etc. The staff accepted early check-in at 2pm and were incredibly courteous, professional, English-speaking and kind. Really excellent.
Some large Japanese hotel chains are not entirely geared to the ”international market” and the attitude to non-Japanese guests can be less than ideal.
NOT CANDEO. The staff are comfortable with an international clientele, cheerful and welcoming. How wonderful!
The entire hotel is extremely clean and well-run. Everything says ”professional”. The flower arrangements on each floor are REAL. Flowers are extremely expensive in Japan.
The view from the reception area (Floor 11) is fantastic. The spa (Floor 12) is open air, with a great view and a magical feel.
I enjoyed my stay very much and I hope to return to Candeo soon.
MMK SanThe hotel is walking distance to Wakayama castle.
The rooms are clean because it’s a renovated hotel this year.
The morning breakfast buffet is amazing. A varieties of food are there. And also many kinds of drinks are there.
RRach.CCWA typical traditional Japanese hot spring hotel. The facilities are not new but they are very clean and hygienic. The room has an incomparable sea view, and the hot spring facing the sea makes people feel the peaceful atmosphere. The dinner and breakfast were very exquisite and delicious, but not very luxurious. The location is far away from Wakayama JR. We made an appointment in advance for the hotel's pick-up and drop-off service. Otherwise, apart from taxis, we don't know what public transportation is available to the hotel. It seems that self-driving travel is more suitable.
YYip Chung YuValue for money. For the price paid. Can't complain much as got free driving from Kada station to the hotel.
Cons is need to get the pic from train station to call as the number on the Google map and the banner can't go through.
Recommended to use the hotel transport as walking is too far.
Pros everything. There is a laundry coin as well which save our life alot as we travel 3 weeks to Japan. Do note the awajima shrine is just beside this hotel. Must visit and do see the sunset and sunrise.
Cons far from station
GGuest UserAs soon as I entered the corridor and buried the room, I already felt good. There is a small entrance before entering the room, and I feel that the design is very meticulous.
Sitting on the terrace listening to the sound of the rain feels good healing, and after the heavy rain, the sound of the waves is even more intoxicated. There are some thoughts, open a terrace glass door, and listen to the sound of the waves. If it is not a big rain, the weather is a little cold, it is really a stage bath.
Breakfast with sea view and dinner, preparation, all Greek dishes, very careful, super satisfied.
RRomanIt is a good spot for a solo traveler. Capsules are clean. Towels are provided. There is a small tea and coffee area at the entrance. They also have Chinese-standard plug in the capsule which was handy. Also, I likes the smell of wood.
The worst part is that if you come before check-in, nobody is in there, meaning you will have to stroll around and wait for 16:00.
PPaddle UpstreamNothing impressive, small and dark. Okay for a single guy , not sure about ladies. Close to Wakayama-Shi station, so getting around is easy.
Rooms have no view, just looking at pipes dripping water. Room smells of smoke. Toilets are hard to get into as they are ‘caravan size’ toilets and showers. The bath tub is very high, not ideal for elderly folks as the showers are installed within. They do have a ioniser and demister in the room to get rid of bad air and foul smoke smell but not very effective. If you plan to spend most of the day out, it’s ideal.
GGuest UserVery cost-effective hotel. The room is very clean and tidy, and the hotel's service is also very good. If you arrive early, your luggage can be kept for you. The breakfast variety is rich and delicious for the price. It is very convenient to go to the city center with JR. I will stay here again when I go to Tokushima in the future.
GGuest UserThe scenery directly facing the hotel is quite a sight, and it can be considered an excellent view.
The room is a standard Japanese-style tatami. It is not big, but it is enough to spread out luggage and sleep on the tatami.
The rooms all face the fishing port directly. When the weather is good, you can see the sunset, which is very beautiful with the sound of the fishing port bells.
Dinner and breakfast are all Japanese-style, and they are all great👍
Transportation is inconvenient, only bus No. 30 can get there, and it only leaves once an hour. Taking a taxi from Wakayama JR Station costs about 3,800 yen.
There are no restaurants or shops around.
The hot spring also faces the fishing port. In the evening and morning, the male and female hot springs will swap. You need to make a reservation in advance for the private soup, and there is a high probability that the venue will be fully booked.
The Panasonic massage chair in the Free lounge is great. It is a model that is not available in China. It is very relaxing to have a massage after soaking in the hot spring.
GGuest User#Praise#For mosquito control measures, hotel smell, bedding comfort, location, toiletries, room lighting satisfaction; I like this hotel so much! It is also an ideal hotel! The so-called ideal is that every aspect is very practical! Although there is no breakfast, there is a refrigerator microwave in the room. It is very convenient to buy and eat at the nearby convenience store supermarket. The room is large and the bathroom is large, and the toiletries are complete to even the curling stick! The kettle said that the insulation can be kept warm for one night, not to mention that it is so cheap not far from the station! I will only live here on the West Line in the future. ps: This ideal hotel comes from a 40-generation hotel that has lived in various large and small Japanese hotels in a variety of sizes and sizes. Lightning avoidance and mentioning that this store has no elevator, large boxes of passengers should be cautious.
