Hotels near Metropolitan Cathedral of the Conversion of St. Paul the Apostle, Vigan

We just came back from our visit to Vigan, Ilocos Sur. I thought to write this review before I start to get busy with work and home chores:-) The whole staff starting with Jackie, Jo, and all others there, they made our stay like our true home. They are warm people, attentive to our needs, caring, and respectful. The Hotel kept their place clean and sanitized maintaining the historic cultural appearance of the place. They have warm water for bath and provided us with clean towels, and complete toiletries. Breakfast is included in the daily charge. If you want to ride a ”calesa,” Jo did a good job in finding us a beautiful horse (his name is ”Castanio”), sturdy and strong. Hotel Felicidad provided us with a list of places to see. The Hotel has its own big parking lot that is secured. They, too, have their own transportation that caters to tourists (upon request) to take them to shop around the Calle Crisologo sections. Their wi-fi has a strong signal. Not sure of a business center since we were there for a pleasure visit. It's best to visit the ”Calle Crisologo” in the late afternoon till the evening. The beauty of the historic houses reveals even more their meaning. Try to visit the Bell Tower, do not miss it! I highly recommend Hotel Felicidad to all. Its proximity is best to tourist attractions, restaurants, churches, bakeries, and many more.

Great Place to stay when traveling in Vigan, particularly at Calle Crisologo. Comfortable dining area and inviting ambience. The Staffs are very helpful. Serves authentic Ilocano foods for breakfast. Will be coming back soon to this very historic place.

I really like this hotel, though a bit difficult to find at the beginning, some people doesn't know this hotel and found out that's its just new. But eventually we figured it out, we saw the street sign Calle Jacinto. The room is clean with bath towel, liquid soap, tooth brush, bottled water. Paulo is very accomodating when we've reached the hotel. There are some decorative paintings around the living room area at the second floor. Though you can smell the freshly paint but since I love painting so I really don't mind it😁. It's a walking distance from the famous Calle Crisologo. We walked around and watched the famous dancing fountain at night and we don't have difficulty going back to the hotel since it's just near. The only problem we've encountered in our room is the toilet bowl has some problem but we've talked to Ms. Meg their supervisor and they will surely fix this asap. They served a set meal breakfast, you just need to choose which one you like to eat with coffee or juice. Overall, our stay is satisfactory and this hotel is highly recommended.

The hotel is located in the center of the ancient city, and the facilities are fairly complete, but compared with other big-name boutique hotels, the facilities are outdated. If it is fully renovated and a better management team is introduced, this location can definitely create the best hotel in Vigan. It can only be said that the decoration is not as good as Home Inn, the service level is not bad, and the English level of the service staff is relatively high. The breakfast is not a buffet, it is a la carte, the quality is not very good, the coffee is extremely bad, I failed the food and drink, and it needs to be greatly improved.

Nice place to stay with family and what we liked the most they are pet friendly. The beds are very soft and comfy and their buffet breakfast was delicious. The owner is very accommodating, the staff are very helpful. A 2-3 minutes walk to Calle Crisologo. Definitely, we will be back here. Thanks.

Very centrally located on Calle Crisologo the main tourist area in Vigan. Staff was efficient and friendly. Included a breakfast buffet. Has a rooftop bar and small pool. Very clean and well maintained. Small spa but the masseuses were very good! We had a “ kalesa” horse drawn carriage that brought us to three places. Very inexpensive and a great experience. This was our second time to visit Vigan as a family and our first time to stay at Panadores De Vigan, and we are so very glad that we did! The staff are friendly and helpful from booking all the way to our departure. They even went out of their way to find out if the local coffee shop would be open since it was a holiday when we arrived. We were greeted with warm and friendly demeanor, and we were able to check-in earlier (1245PM). It's located near some of the popular tourist spots, restaurants yet it's quiet. We also did not hear any noise coming from the other rooms or guests. Our rooms were on the second floor. They were clean, pleasant, lots of room and complete with basic amenities. The bed was comfortable, and we had the best sleep during our stay. We had a minor issue with the bathroom, but it was immediately fixed. Our breakfast was served on time as requested. Our rooms were cleaned during our stay. Just a couple of minor improvements: The water pressure in the shower could be stronger and maybe have the bathroom door fixed (we had to push it really hard for it to close). Recommendation/Suggestion: Provide a water dispenser in the room for added comfort. Two water bottles were provided for free and refilled the next day, but it would be nicer to have access to a water dispenser inside the room rather than having to buy and carry water bottles from the store whenever we went out. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay, and I definitely recommend them especially for families and big groups. By the way, they are right across the street from the famous First Sinangloa (they're open as early as 6AM). A few blocks from the public market where we bought bagnet and longganisa for our ”pasalubong”. The parking was a big plus! They have ample parking for their guests.

I stayed at Le Dream Hotel when it was first open. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They made sure to cater to my every needs. The rooms were very luxurious and comfortable and the air conditioning was heavenly in the Philippines hot weather. Also, super comfortable pillows and blankets! Lastly, the food and drinks were amazing and super fresh. Would definitely recommend going here for your next Vigan stay!

We decided to stay here for the new year to escape Manila and the loud festivities. It was indeed quiet and that was nice. Staff was nice enough and helpful. Although at times it felt like they didn't really know what was going on most of the time. We asked if there were any new year activities planned and they said there weren't any. Which wasn't surprising since there were animals and loud noise would have scared them. But I would have at least expected some type of greeting the new year event at the restaurant for the guests. Like a small gathering and a countdown. Maybe some champagne or cider. But no. Nothing at all. There was also no explanation on the inclusions for the stay. Like how to feed the animals or tours. Nothing was offered. You had to ask them about it. The rooms were OK and clean. Comfy and the hot shower was working. But for some odd reason they didn't think to have phones in the room? You can't call the front desk or the restaurant. You have to physically walk there or call them with your own cellphone. Which was definitely frustrating. The pool was dirty. Looks nice in the pictures but there was grime and sludge in the pool. The food was so/so. So we decided not to order anything. The free breakfast was also so/so. Watery soup, watery juice, and the food itself was just pretty plain. They never fully filled the buffet area. They would only add a small amount whenever it was empty or near empty. So I was afraid that maybe if you get there a bit late they wouldn't refill the buffet and you'd be stuck with whatever was left. There was also no bread station or choices for drinks. No cereal and milk. Their free shuttle to Calle crisologo also only went up to 8pm for pick up. I mean that's like the bare minimum. That's when the fun begins really. So best to take your own vehicle instead. We didn't visit the Baluarte since it wasn't really explained to us and when we checked out we asked if it was still possible to get a tour with them and their golf carts/electric vehicles but they said no. They were charging and none was available. But honestly I think they just lied since we already checked out. So overall it was an OK stay since it was quiet and relaxing and I was with my family and kids and they enjoyed the animals. Would I stay again? Probably not unless someone else is paying. All the brochures made a big deal of the animals etc but they never really explained anything about it so it was just a regular hotel thing for me with random animals around.
