I have stayed at Hostel Ruthensteiner several times over the years, usually by myself, but this time with my family. It is reasonably priced and conveniently located a short walk from the Westbahnhof. The rooms are clean and the staff members are friendly. They offer a small menu of good breakfast options at decent prices, and in the evenings they offer a free cooked dinner for those who are interested, asking only for donations to cover the costs (suggestion donation: 5 Euros).

This was probably the nicest private room in a hostel that we ever stayed in. The private double room is actually a studio apartment with a full kitchen (stove, oven, refrigerator, large sink). It even had house plants and art work on the walls AND an elevator. The staff were super nice and helpful and the common area was fun, including pay what you can dinner nights. Well located near metro, buses and trams. Near the only inner city IKEA in the world (where you can get cheap coffee and food), good restaurants, grocery stores, and coffee shops.

El personal majísimo, te ayudan y asesoran en todo. El desayuno excelente, el ambiente tranquilo y agradable. Muy bien situado, perfecto para visitar la ciudad, con paradas de tranvía y metro muy cerca. Las habitaciones muy correctas y tranquilas.

Très convivial, parfait pour discuter et rencontrer du monde. Le personnel est très sympa et les chambres sont confortables. Il est possible de se faire à manger mais un repas pour le soir est aussi proposé par l'établissement. Il est bien placé, on peut aller dans le centre à pied en 30 min ou avec les transports en commun qui ne sont pas très loin.

Great vibe all around, clean - very helpful staff, good mix of people, quiet after 10pm. Bar is fun and a good place to unwind. Great location. We had a private room which was cozy and had a sink. The kitchen is well equipped as well. Didn’t get a chance to do any of the activities as we were fully booked up but they looked awesome and good value for money

Everything was made to make you feel comfortable and welcome, I really don't have any complaints. They have good suggestions what to do and where to eat. There is enought living space and everything seemed very clean. They cook great food and it's located very close to the center and a trainstation. Just amazing!!

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Facilities were very clean. Met some amazing people here, and I believe the hostel really helped to encourage socialisation with their evening meals (which were pay as you wish) and activities, as well as the general layout of the hostel being very homely. It made me excited to come back after a long day of sightseeing! If I ever come back to Vienna I will definitely stay in this hostel again!
