The location is great, being almost in front of Vienna West Station. The supermarket BILLA PLUS is also almost in front (inside the station), so even if you don't want to include breakfast, you can just pop in and buy something, which is convenient.
The room was small, but it was only 8,000 yen a night, which was cheap for a Mercure, but I was only staying one night before returning home, so it wasn't a problem.
The shower had no water pressure, and although it was compact, it seemed to have everything I needed.
There was one thing that was a bit of a problem, as there was no refrigerator in the room and I had some things that needed to be kept cold, but I asked the reception if they could put them in the hotel's refrigerator, and they were happy to agree.

We were assigned to room 518; the bathroom was separated into dry and wet areas and had a bathtub, but unfortunately the glass partition was prone to leaks, which affected the experience.

I was shown to a room in the annex, but on the way there I had to go up and down several flights of stairs carrying two 32kg suitcases, which was a bit of a hassle. The main building, which has no stairs and can be accessed by elevator, is more convenient for people with heavy luggage, as it doesn't strain their arms. The electric kettle was old and hot water leaked out from the bottom. I was able to put up with it as my stay was short.

The hotel is located right next to Vienna Westbahnhof station in the center of Vienna. It was very convenient because it was easy to access the main tourist sites by subway and tram.

This Mercure chain must not be the same as the rest of the world. The service was terrible. I do not recommend it. We needed honey to put in our son's bottle and we arrived late. We asked the hotel for it and they told us to walk and go to a store that was already closed. We went to another hotel that we were not staying at and they gave us a jar of honey. We said that we only needed a little and insisted that we take it with us. Cleaning was not done even though there was a sign in the room. Terrible.
