Viana do Castelo Hotels with Pools

Hotel with excellent sea view, opposite view (mountain) is an industrial area. Hotel is near a highly moving road (even night), room with little soundless windows which did not allow rest A satisfactory buffet breakfast, but nothing special. The pool and gym belong to the Solinca Group, with internal access to the hotel and can be used several times. To help, a football team was hosted that last night decided to celebrate in the lobby and in the rooms, to which the hotel staff did not give the proper answer to the problem, preferring discomfort and the complaints of the guests the resolution of the situation. I will not return to this hotel, there are other quiet and more targeted options for guests in this city.

My partner and I recently enjoyed a delightful 3-night stay at Hotel Axis in Viana do Castelo. For us, a blend of convenience and tranquility was key, and this hotel nailed it with its location – just a quick 5-minute drive from the city center. The modern ambiance of the hotel, with its clean lines and straightforward furnishings, created a practical and comfortable setting. As a business traveler, the reliable and efficient staff made the entire experience seamless, from check-in to check-out. Our room provided a serene space with essential amenities and a charming city view, ideal for a restful night's sleep. The unexpected highlight was the well-equipped gym, perfect for maintaining our fitness routine together. Whether you're in Viana do Castelo for business or leisure, this hotel caters to both, offering a practical and comfortable escape.

We stayed in room 206 with simply stunning views of the Basilica de Santa Luzia, Viana do Castelo, and the ocean right from our balcony! It met, or possibly exceeded, the view from our hotel in Positano, Italy (which was gorgeous)! The hotel itself was charming and had a great outdoor patio where we relaxed and enjoyed a glass of wine before dinner. The service both at the front desk and in the dining room was very professional. Our dinner was good (not outstanding) and breakfast was very good including the coffee. If you wish to tour the town we recommend you consider taking the funicular near the Basilica which goes down the mountain into town. The Pousada kindly provided a map and good directions. The funicular was great and we enjoyed visiting the town too. Do note the funicular hours of operation.

Our experience at this hotel was outstanding. After a long day's walk with backpacks on the Camino Portuguese, it was wonderful to be greeted by the hotel's reception staff with an invitation to take a bath and relax and then come back to the front desk with our passports to complete the check in. We were also invited to feel free to bring any hand washed laundry that we did to the front reception to be dried in the hotel's dryer and returned! The room was very attractive, roomy and comfortable. The breakfast had everything that we could possibly want and was available early, which was appreciated. I highly recommend this hotel.

This was a nice little boutique hotel right near the historic center. We were always greeted with a smile and treated kindly. I shared a room with my son and the twin beds were more than adequate. Bathroom is on the small side but it was fine for our needs. The hotel is a little older but the elevator worked great and the entire property was well kept and clean. My only caveat was there there was no outdoor seating area, you have to wear a swim cap and water shoes for the pool and the pool was indoors in a very hot room. The continental style breakfast buffet was good and provided lots of variety. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

Very well decorated and comfortable hotel. Hidden in the center of Viana do Castelo is a little surprise, a 4-star hotel with an industrial appearance in an apparently small building, but divided into 2 parts and very well decorated internally. Good quality rooms and very large bathrooms at the level of a 5-star hotel. Interior decoration with characteristics of an old building, but very well renovated and restored. Large bedroom TV. There is no coffee machine in the room and the black out wooden window does not completely block out the light. The breakfast room is pleasant, but the quality of the meal, perhaps because it was still low season and the hotel's occupancy did not seem high, there was a lack of several products. Still, it's not difficult to improve. It's worth starting to offer scrambled and/or other hot eggs, plus juice offerings including fresh orange juice. The lack of private parking is also a disadvantage, but there are several options nearby, including a public underground car park right in front of the hotel, which is open 24 hours a day. Walking a little, you can park for free. The quality/price of the hotel is very adjusted to what is available, equivalent in several aspects of room quality and comfort to what the Axis Viana Hotel offers but at a lower cost.

Hello We came to spend a weekend in family. The rooms well, the children loved that in the room we had a wedding bed and the structure with the beds where they were sleeping. I very much call you attention! The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. What we don't like is that in the buffet children seem to be not very well received, we have 3 small children and there was an opera that didn't take our eyes, as they stood up from the table and it seemed to be bothering, One of them was raised by a glass of water and was already direct to him to tell him he can't go alone. I'm noticed about the hotel, but we were watching it all the time, I was looking at our movements to see if it was going directly at any time, or that was our sensation.
