5 min walk to San Marco Square.
Upon arriving Venice, per Google advice I took water bus from S Lucia train station to Rialto, then walked for 10 min to the hotel. Upon leaving as the staff told me I took water bus at San Marco (Vallaresso) SX station to train station, the boat journey was longer but the walking was easier.
Lots of restaurants and shops nearby.
Staff are professional and helpful.
Breakfast buffet provides basic and limited choices but good enough. Could fuel up before going out and exploring the city.

Tout d’abord les points positifs qui au final l’emporte sur le négatif : - l’hôtel est très bien placé proche de la place saint marc et de la Fenice mais en étant au calme quand même - Le personnel est super serviable et gentil. - le petit déjeuner est tres correct - la chambre était propre Cote négatif : - notre chambre familiale était au 3 ieme étage sans ascenseur. - chambre petite, basse de plafond dans la salle de bain et avec une décoration tres vieillissante - climatisation en panne qui se lance en mode chauffage (jamais moins de 30 degrés dans la chambre … obligé de garde les fenêtres grande ouverte et du coup d’être envahi de moustique) Par chance nous étions dans notre chambre uniquement pour dormir et ça ne nous a pas gâché le séjour mais quand même pas super agréable.

We stayed at the hotel at the end of April 2025. My assessment would have been different if there had not been a theft from the safe. The theft was discovered on the last day, when we started packing our bags. We naively used the safe to store cash and documents. Most of the money disappeared. The hotel staff threw up their hands and suggested calling the police, even though we were already checking out of the hotel and it was time to go to the airport. Allegedly, only our room had a safe with a key and we had to take with us not only the key, but also pull out the cylinder of the deadbolts, which, by the way, is quite heavy. Later we found out that the neighboring rooms had the same lock system. Well, upon returning, friends said that this is a common practice in Europe, that you can't leave anything in safes. In general, everyone who is planning a vacation, please do not leave anything in the safes. Remember, each hotel employee has a master key to everything!

If location is your key decision point then this is the place for you! It's a short walk from St Marco water taxi station and Rialto water taxi station and also the most important tourist attractions of Venice like the Rialto bridge, Doge palace and St Mark's basilica. The rooms are a bit tiny. To be fair Venice is so beautiful and there is so much to enjoy, you won't feel like being in your room. The vibe at night is also worth enjoying, near Rialto bridge or St Mark's square with music and dance

Sadly the hotel lacks a lift. Difficult to see where this could be fitted. There was a familiar Venetian smell of drains in one of the breakfast rooms and on the stairs.
Otherwise my stay was excellent and I'd happily recommend this hotel as a quiet, central base for visitors.
