Nice hotel in great location for exploring Venice, everything is in walking distance. Simple but tasty breakfast. Would be nice if walls had better noise isolation

If you carry large luggage, it is best to book a hotel near the train station. This hotel is 25 minutes away from the train station. Carrying luggage, you have to cross many bridges and stairs. It is really hard work, at least twice as long. The hotel arranged for me to live on the roof, but there is no elevator, and the buried stairs are very narrow, and there are stairs (pictured) on the entrance of the room, which are very narrow. It is very unfriendly to guests with large luggage The room has a strange smell, there is no exhaust fan, and the air conditioner is broken, because it is too hot, I called to ask, and finally changed the room, it was better, at least it would not be so hot How good the service is, overall clean

Everything fantastic, location, treatment, cleanliness. In terms of facilities, I don't like the fact that to get to the room you had to go up three floors by a narrow and quite vertical staircase. A constructive criticism, the issue of changing towels: we left the shower ones hanging up well so that they wouldn't change them and not waste water but they still did it 😔 they could leave information on how to leave the ones that need to be changed and the ones that don't .

I got it for the price and around tourist attractions!! The first day I slept a little cold because there was no heating, but it worked well from the second day. There's a mart right in front, so it's so convenient and the room is spacious, so I like it!

Double room with great size comfortable bed. Room itself wasn’t huge but I wouldn’t expect a bigger room for the price paid in Venice. Reception staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and no queues like other reviews have said. Range of food available was the most extensive I have seen. Scrambled eggs and bacon offered too. Room was immaculately clean, well designed. Bathroom facilities small but superb. Location is amazing for major Venice sights. Supermarket opposite.

Well located, but we were in room. 618 which is a tiny room and the same price as the room next door 616 which our friends were in and which is twice as big. Also the noise from the little docking /unloading area outside the window was terrible, it started at 5am and disturbed our sleep. The pillows were uncomfortable and the room cold overnight. We raised the noise /size/ price issues with the hotel reception and basically they weren't interested, they didn't even say sorry! The breakfast was OK, but got a bit repetitive. They should not use room 618! Not a very good stay overall

When we decided to take a trip to Venice, we decided we wanted to go all out and that no cost was too big because you're only in Venice once. And then we saw the price of everything and quickly decided to settle on Ca' Marinella - an affordable option to keep a roof over our heads. As we were only in Venice for a short time, we were constantly out on the go, which meant the location was incredible. It sat just on the outskirts of the Rialto Bridge, which meant we were close to the centre, while also appreciative of the quiet atmosphere. It was nice to have a place close to everything, as it meant it was never too far to come back and sit next to the air conditioning for an hour before heading back out. Not only that, but we were fortunate that we were right opposite a Co-op, which meant it was never far to nip out and make a purchase if need be. The staff were lovely. The cleaner was a very kind woman, who would often stop to say hello to us, as would the man stood outside each morning. Thankfully, the reception were able to hold our luggage for us on the last day so that we weren't carrying suitcases around with us all day. However, maybe we didn't look closely enough at the booking, but we were not aware that we were not in the main building that had been photographed, but instead we were in the annex, in a different building. This was not an issue to us, as the room had clean sheets and running water, however, we found it to be somewhat misleading. For the price we paid, we were very satisfied with the quality and cleanliness of the room, with the location being a big bonus.

As other reviews have said Ca'Marinella is the annex of the main hotel. We stayed in a room directly on a canal and the view was beautiful. The room itself was clean and comfortable, if a little dated. Breakfast is also not always included, we were told 15€ per person on check-in. However we could never get seated as the breakfast room is small, considering the number of rooms. Find a nice cafe to get a proper coffee and croissant instead. Please note that when we stayed (December 2023), the building opposite was undergoing renovation work, and Venician builders start work at 5am, at least they did during our visit. The canal itself is also very noisy with passing traffic at all hours. Luckily you don't come to Venice to sleep and the location is perfect for sightseeing, 5 mins to Ponte Rialto and 10mins to St Mark's Basilica.

We stayed this place but you have to check in at the Santa Marina Hotel (in the opposite building) it’s all connected. Truly impressed with the room, little penthouse room overlooking the roof tops of Venice. The room was spotless clean (so well done to the cleaners they do an excellent job). The breakfast had many options and every morning you were asked if you wanted ‘scrambled egg/bacon’ or ‘pancakes’ you can also opt for both. You’ll also be asked if you want tea/coffee/orange juice - again we said yes to everything. The coffee was delicious 🔥 and the orange juice was … wow 🤩 the breakfast staff were so lovely and welcoming. The rooms were so clean, plenty of towels, good shower unit bed extremely comfortable. Had extra pillows and duvets in the wardrobe. Perhaps the only fault - is we were up the top floor and there is plenty of steep steps up, there is no lift, someone with mobility issues may find this difficult. On the top floor we heard nothing it was if the room was sound proof. I loved it here and would definitely stay again. The location is fantastic 9/10 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ don’t forget to tip the cleaners they don’t get enough credit for all there hard work. With love from Ireland 🇮🇪 🍀

My mother and me were greeted with a minimum of courtesy by a grumpy and annoyed hotel employee. The room was in a very narrow outbuilding which didn't belong to the main building, although the hotel pictures advertised it. I booked the room with stayforlong.com where an elevator is indicated in the features. We got a very gloomy musty room under the roof on the 6th floor. The staircase was very narrow and the steps very high. My 77 year old mother barely got up there. We were then able to change rooms, but only when asked and reluctantly. A good service would have noticed beforehand. The new room was renovated, light and larger. The front door and room key are identical to an old lock. Watch out for valuables and put them in the safe! Above the room was a private propperty in which the holy mass was played loudly on the radio every morning from 5-8 am and furniture was loudly moved. The bad-tempered staff member in the hotel said he had no phone number and couldn't do anything. I told him to go over to check and ring the bell but he rolled his eyes and said he would send a colleague. We all know that it didn't happen … This hotel is not recommended! Leave your money somewhere else.

We stayed 2 nights at Ca 'Marinella but personally would not return. Our room was warm and nice but it was located on the ground floor and you could hear all the noises coming from the street / canal. Upstairs there was a person who every morning at 6 o'clock moved furniture, turned on the TV and listened to mass (and we consequently). The duvet was dirty and with some hairs due to not using the duvet cover. Evidently only the sheets are changed. The pillow was rock hard and the double bed was actually two single beds pushed together. The breakfast is abundant and varied. The location a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco

After checking in at Hotel San Marina you will be escorted to the restored house 'Ca' Marinella'. We had a room on the top floor (up a narrow, narrow staircase with no lift to the 3rd floor). But since I knew there was no elevator, it wasn't a problem. We were given a family room (single bed in the entrance area, TV), separated by a sliding door. Rooms are small but nicely furnished, the heating worked well, windows with a view over the roofs and small inner courtyard. Non-smoking rooms (so up and down the steep stairs). Nice bath. Breakfast in the hotel. Nothing special, small rolls and small croissants, a little cold cuts, brought directly to the table. But you could have ordered eggs, crepe....More All very friendly. We felt very comfortable.
