The room’s location is excellent, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The decor materials are high-end. The only issue is during breakfast—you need to be cautious as they mix included breakfast items with paid ones. If you’re not careful, you might order a paid item by mistake. They don’t explain this upfront. We complained, and we heard five other tourists from the US also complaining about unfair charges. Even though breakfast was included, who would know a large fruit platter costs extra while a small one doesn’t? When we raised this with the front desk, a slightly overweight young woman had a very poor attitude.

We enjoyed the excellent location and amenities this hotel had to offer, just a few steps from St. Mark’s square but not in the main bustle. The staff were very helpful, always cordial and professional. They went out of their way to help our stay be extra special. Their recommendations on local attractions and restaurants were exactly what we were looking for. Our room was very comfortable with top of the line products and great quality linens and towels. The only recommendation for this time of the year would be to provide an area fan or even better a ceiling fan to make air circulation more comfortable during these seasonal transition days. The included breakfast was very good. We had one dinner which we considered a bit expensive. Overall a great boutique hotel in an excellent location to experience Venice that we would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay for 3 nights in April. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with highly appointed rooms everywhere and the most gorgeous attention to detail and decorations. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, particularly Lucio and Giada. The food served at breakfast and dinner was superb. The location was also very convenient, just off the square so it's close but not as crowded.

Our experience at the Violino d'Oro was magical. Anabella and her staff are warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. Our room was light-filled and spotless. The room itself was lovely and featured elements by local artisans in an elegant and welcoming environment. We dined in our room, in the Piccolo Bar area, and in the Piccolo restaurant and each experience topped the other. From the breakfast "cornetti" to the hotel Negroni to the exquisite courses at the Piccolo restaurant, we ate in style throughout our stay. Finally, the location is hard to beat. It is in a charming courtyard that is just a five minute stroll to Piazza San Marco. We can hardly wait to return to the Violino d'Oro!
