The building was once a monastery and convent, with small windows and closed-in rooms. It was spacious and quiet, almost intimidating. Requesting a water taxi from the airport cost 600 euros, but it actually only costs 200 euros from the airport. When I tried to take the free ferry to Murano, the hotel arranged a specific glass factory and recommended products at an expensive workshop, leaving me unable to explore other areas. The towels were old and rustled, and despite being told the day before that I could take a free ferry back to San Marco, I ended up taking a private water taxi for 80 euros, which meant I missed the ferry and had to wait 30 minutes for the next one. The hotel prioritizes profits over customer needs. It didn't feel like five-star hospitality at all. The ferry from San Marco also didn't arrive on time, waiting 30 minutes for the scheduled arrival.

Perfect island, perfect hotel! The room has a beautiful view, with a wide view of the river and St. Mark's Square across the street. The breakfast is rich and delicious. The staff are helpful, very kind, and always smiling. I lost something twice and the staff helped me find it. Thank you very much!! The front desk staff are great, especially the front desk manager Elia (pronounced like "love you" in Chinese, very interesting) who is always attentive and thoughtful to help solve all troubles, so that guests can have a worry-free vacation. Thank you very much!! You can relax and have a romantic wedding here, which is great, seven-star service, seven-star experience👍👍

Weekend con amici a Venezia, scegliamo il San Clemente fresco di nuova gestione per le dotazioni extra rispetto all'hotel cittadino, in particolare giardini e piscina, che con i bimbi al seguito costituiscono un'attrazione fondamentale. Arrivo scenografico in taxi boat, check in con fresco drink di benvenuto tra gli ampi corridoi del palazzo in cui i bimbi si perdevano e giocavano felici, camere di dimensioni più che generose con bagni completi e uno stile retrò ma curato. In generale si percepisce la grandeur del luogo ma qualche miglioramento sarebbe necessario: così per la zona piscina, peraltro non riscaldata, per il kids club ossia area giochi per i bimbi che era lasciata andare e per alcune dotazioni delle stanze non aggiornate. Bellissimi e impeccabilmente mantenuti i giardini in cui scorrazzano i fagiani, ottimi i ristoranti sia per colazione che per cena. Noi abbiamo provato l'Acquerello la sera e già la location di fronte alla chiesa e sulla laguna vale il prezzo e per il resto sia il servizio che le pietanze ci hanno più che soddisfatto; la colazione nel ristorante interno è buona ma migliorabile, in particolare le scelte à la carte. La navetta da e per piazza San Marco è scenografica e puntuale e costituisce un servizio immancabile. Un plauso al personale, gentilissimo e orgoglioso di lavorare in una simile tenuta. Speriamo che il marchio Mandarin Oriental investa nella proprietà per farle raggiungere i più alti standard.

We made the Perfect hotel decision out of all the hotels available. We wanted to be able to sit out and enjoy the summer sun after exploring Venice. The pool and lunch restaurant were fabulous. The complementary water shuttle was excellent, always on time and a regular service. The breakfast buffet was also amazing. All the staff took the time to greet us whenever we came into contact with them and the concierge team came up trumps organising our transfer to meet our cruise ship. Loved our stay.
