Guest House Dolce Laguna 2

The building is among a local residential area which we enjoyed with a quiet setting. We had room 105 and it was clean, quiet and king bed was comfy. The automatic window coverings were great for sleeping. AC was sufficient. It is a convenient location near airport. We walked there and it took 15 minutes. There is a small section of the road that does not have a pedestrian walkway so be very careful if you walk to the airport. We liked the self check in and had the building to ourselves. We enjoyed pizza at Bar La Sostta Cafe which is a walk around the corner. We walked along Via Bazzerra pedestrian path towards a Fort. The only downside was the wifi connection was not good in our room.

Very nice accommodations. Perfect for our group of four. Bathroom was very spacious, super clean with huge shower and even a lighted make up mirror. The manager was really nice and even arranged for us a taxi the next morning at 4am for our early flight out. I Highly recommend!

We booked the room for a night before an early flight. The receptionist was very friendly, the room was spotless, and very well equipt, hairdryer, safe, coffee machine, fridge, TV, and free Wi-Fi. The location is within walking distance from the airport (about 20/25 minutes) if you like, Taxi charged 20 euros. From Mestre station use the local public transport Bus N15, which cost only 1.50 euros pp. Taxi wanted to charge 35 euros.. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it if you have an early or late flight to/from Marco Polo Airport.

How to get there: take the No.5 bus (cheap ticket from machine by bus stop outside airport) 1 stop to Tessera. Get off, cross road, turn right and go one block to Alexandra st, turn left and the hotel is at the end of the street. To go to Venice itself from the hotel, go back to the main street and head left to a tobacco shop, where you can buy a bus ticket for the No.5 bus to Piazzale Roma. (Yes, it’s the same bus.)
