Stayed for just one night in November. The rooms have an old world charm but at the same time show signs of ageing with fading colours and spots on the furniture. We had all three meals in the restaurant by the grand canal and the food and service was top notch. Only shortcoming is that their bar/ Riva lounge is touted as a must-visit cigar lounge online but we were told only possible seating for cigar smoking is a cramped side table right next to the waiter station. It was not at all a good experience by "Marriot's luxury collection" standards. Either say we don't allow cigars/smoking but this way just leaves a poor taste.

our half a week’s stay at the Gritti Palace was truly 5 stAr from things you could hold in the hand to amazing Venetian treasures and trinkets you see all around … in the lobby, the room, the bathroom in a suite too, while it was on a lower floor; awesome to be woken up in Venice as if the morning call was set to the sound of gondoliers walking through the front door, amazing … the concierges were able to pass us the correct key without having to ask for our names; each time, talk about facial recognition the maître d' and dining team organise an awesome breakfast, not light, not too heavy; tempting enough to have another plate, but we are terrace-side of the Grand Canal and Venice is calling Awesome; Amazing; Arrivederci

Wanting to mark the birthday of much loved friend (me) we ventured to the illustrious Griit were the white coated reception were not offended by our Tesco club card attire. Once we were swiftly ushered to the back of the terrace, we were provided with menus. Gone were the 5 euro aperol spritz we had enjoyed all day and enter vodka that would clear all our nectar points. No bother, when in Rome … We all promptly ordered long cocktails to be consumed over the next 2 hours and all agreed that the abundance of complimentary condiments - namely, ready salted crisps, olives and hazelnuts were sufficient meal replacements and we didn’t need an evening meal anyhow. Having photographed the toilets, the lobby and the private water taxi rank we all agreed we had definitely proved that despite our lovely welcome, there was an obvious clash in calibre of clientele and quickly made our exit.

If you have a room with a view it is stunning, the room was very clean. The terrace breakfast - although very expensive - was gorgeous. The staff in the location is very helpful and they are ready to help you out on restaurants recommendations, reservations or taxi.

Listen up, folks! If you're looking for a place that feels like a warm hug, this is it. The staff here? They're like that friend who always knows exactly what you need. The whole place has this cozy, homey vibe that just melts away your stress. And don't even get me started on the food - it's like your grandma's cooking, if your grandma was a five-star chef! Only thing missing was a teleporter to bring me back instantly.

Nos tomamos un café en la cafetería y fueron muyyy desagradables . Pedí un café con leche manchado y me trajeron un cortado y cuando dije que no era eso, me sirvieron lo mismo en taza más grande y cuando lo trajeron sarcásticamente me dijeron disfruté en inglés ,una pena. Muy desagradables yo no miro lo q costó pero si el servicio q dieron.
