Dwivedi Hotels Palace on Steps offers a mixed experience. The room was basic but stuffy and smelly, with unpleasant odors from the area below the windows. The hotel is slightly dated, yet the staff was friendly and helpful.
The location is fantastic, close to Dashashwamedh Ghat, where you can enjoy a vibrant evening ceremony. The view from the room overlooking the river is breathtaking. Highly recommend dining at Aadha-Aadha Café for clean, tasty, and affordable meals. The rooftop ambiance is lovely. Mona Lisa Café is another great nearby option. Overall, a good stay for its location and views, despite minor issues.

It’s was difficult to reach this place. We don’t have proper mode of transport to reach this place. We need to walk atleast 1 km to reach. Cab will reach to a point and from there we have to take a rickshaw to reach next spot. From there only by walk to reach hotel. Food was very good. Decent hotel with basic amenities. Services are good. Since hotel is situated on the banks of the river accessing Ganges is very easy but for older people steeper steps would be difficult to climb. We can have a wonderful scenic view from hotel room.

Location (Pro): Very nice as it is on the river bank. However need to climb down stairs about 5 floors to reach to the bank.
Location (Cons): Cannot reach to the property by vehicle. The roads are barricaded about 2.5 kms from the hotel. From there E rickshaw will take you to the auto stand,which is about 1 km to the hotel. This last 1 km stretch has to be completed walking in narrow ,filthy lanes.
Food: Good ,but round the lock service is not available.
Amenities: Very basic for the cost of rentals charged.
Services: The staff is hardworking, polite with the guests. They handcarry your luggage during your walk to& fro from the property to the road where the vehicle is waiting for you.

it was a wonderful experience. Manager Mr. Chakraborty was very helpful. The room provided was superb. Very good ambience and prompt service. Overall happy with the hospitality.Will be visiting again

Ok. We had a wonderful stay at dwivedi hotels! staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Rooms are comfortable to stay in and you can ask for heaters if it’s very cold. We went during peak winters and they made it very comfortable for us. Lovely view of ganga from our balcony. Do consider coming in by boat upto the hotel and climbing the steps. Other option is walking around 10 min from main road to the hotel thru narrow lanes.

Atmosphere at the room beside the ghat was awesome. Liked the room though small. Very nice people. Maja aa gaya. Great stay. Only one problem faced approach road is not their. We had to go through galli. Enjoyed. Thanks

Suites rooms are not appropriate in sizes & not eligible for triple occupancy..
Bed mattress are very uncomfortable for sleeping. Average waiting time for getting lunch / dinner was 30 to 45minutes.
Only view from room is the plus point of the hotel

Was a wonderful stay, sunrise view from our room was absolutely fantastic, had a divine experience in front of river ganga, no words to express our gratitude to the hotel people. All of them in the hotel premises were very caring and helpful. Must visit hotel.
