The boss and employees are very nice. It is very safe to live here. We will give the key to the front desk when we go out during the day, and the room will be cleaned when we come back at night. Good memories. Will stay here again when I come to Varanasi next time.

Family run home stay that l will return to on next trip. The family members are so generous in nature and really try so hard to make your stay pleasant. Great advice for local area was given to us. So much effort went into our daily breakfast which was authentic and delicious. Beautiful people, all of them. The rooms were good. Aircon and nice hot shower. Good pillows and bed was comfortable. TV which l did not use. Fridge in room. Lovely outside area to sit in surrounded by many plants. A great affordable place to stay very close to ghats and everything of interest in Varanasi

This is in a great location, but the room they gave me had some serious mold and made me sick. When I told them this they were helpful and moved me to a new room. Overall, the place is pretty dirty and could use a ton of work, but the staff was great.

While the property was in a narrow lane (very Varanasi like), room was spacious, bed comfortable and amenities top class. You would feel a sense of history (250 year old property, owned by legendary braj bhasha writer) but at the same time a sense of being at home as the current management takes great care of your comfort.

Our stay at Ratnakar Bhawan (Heritage Homestay), on our first visit to Varanasi was indeed an excellent decision. Just as our visit to Varanasi was most memorable, so was our stay at Ratnakar Bhawan. As the name signifies - truly homely, with clean, comfortable rooms & facilities. Our stay was personally overseen by a most caring & helpful Rahul, the owner. It was nice experience, especially Mr. Rahul's family was so welcoming. Few key points 1. Rahul was so helpful and gave relevant advice. 2. This homestay location is quite good and was near to walking distance from Assi Ghat. 3. Homestay with 250 year old history and few of the history they could be able to kept as it is.
