I don’t have high requirements for youth hostels, but the health, service, and environment are really average. It can only be said that it is liveable, cheap and not too demanding. It is very expensive to stay in the city center.

Had an absolute blast on the bar crawl organized by HI Hostel Downtown! The night was the perfect mix of great people, epic music, and awesome local spots we never would’ve found on our own. Our guide kept the energy high and made sure no one got left behind. Every bar had its own vibe—from cozy dives to pulsing dance floors—and the drink deals were a nice bonus. It felt more like partying with new friends than a tour. If you’re staying at HI Downtown, don’t miss this experience. It’s the best way to see the city after dark!

Recht großes Hostel der HI Hostel Canda Kette. Lage ist super. Sehr ruhig und alles in der Nähe was man braucht. Auch zu dem öffentlicehn Naverkehr ist es nicht weite. Große, gut ausgestatte Küche und großer Speiseraum mit TV. Gibt auch einen kleineren Nebenraum und eine schöne Terrasse im Hinterhof. Zimmer war etwas stickig und eng, aber die Betten gemütlich. Treppenhaus und Duschen könnten sauberer sein, aber insgesamt OK. Frühstück (typisch kanadisch) sehr zuckerlastig. Gibt Angebote für Stadtrundgänge, Touren und andere Aktivitäten. Alles gut organisiert und nettes Personal. Zwar mit luft nach oben, aber ein sehr solides, angenehmes Großraum-Hostel.

Amazing! 10/10 a really good place to stay if you are solo traveling, they offer free breakfast and the accommodations are nice and clean, the offer a really good location and its really close to everything, you have really nice and touristy spots

The rooms are okay and some of the staffs are great. Had one staff that told me to "chill" in middle of a conversation, which was disrespectful and unprofessional. Dont join their activities, even though the front desk takes money, but if you ask anyone from there who exactly took it, they played dumb. You pay for your own transportation, the Lynn Canyon is free. I paid expecting a shuttle bus after confirmed with a front desk memeber that there should be a bus, which I really wonder what did my money went exactly? It is also not Erik as the tour guide as listed on the website, the famous guide. And it was 20$ I paid, shown at the calendar at living room than $15 from their website. Multiple inconsistencies, no explanation, sus. Avoid the events at all cost cuz you would not get an explanation when you are defending your right as a customer.

This was my first time traveling solo and staying in a hostel. The staff were all very friendly and I always felt safe. The location is great and I could walk/bus anywhere. The rooms were warm but the fan helped me a lot. The bed in the girls dorm was really comfortable. The activities hosted through the hostel were great. The bingo bar crawl and Stanley park walk were my favorite.
