We stayed in July 2024 as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers). The hotel is beautiful, with very friendly staff. Everyone was helpful and accommodating. We felt very comfortable and relaxed. The location is perfect for exploring Valletta, being able to walk for sightseeing and returning for a respite. The evenings were amazing, with very safe streets, lots of food and music playing. The hotel facilities were brilliant as to was the food. We would highly recommend staying here if visiting Malta as an ideal location to see the other islands. The hotel and fantastic staff truly enhanced our fabulous Malta experience.

My husband and I spent two nights in September at this lovely hotel. The building itself is spectacular-historic, refurbished, and charming. We stayed in the Matilja room which has its own balcony with sitting area that looks out onto Ursula Street. Though the hotel is in the center of town and close to many restaurants and Saint John’s Cathedral, it is very quiet. AC worked just fine and wifi was strong and worked without a problem. The room was spacious and the bathroom/shower were a nice size. Breakfast, served on the first floor, was included every day-buffet for fresh fruit, juices, pastries, and you could also order eggs made to order (poached, Benedict, scrambled) with sausages, smoked salmon, toast. There is a nice-sized roof top pool with plenty of chairs as well as a separate patio area on the roof top. The staff were helpful and attentive and went out of their way to make us feel at home. We were very pleased with our stay and happily recommend to others visiting Valletta.

We absolutely loved this hotel. We only had one night here en route to going diving in Gozo but will definitely be back. A stunning 400 year old building overflowing with character. Pool on the roof which was open 24/7 much to my son’s delight and an indoor pool that you can book for a private swim. We stayed in a junior suite which was on two levels with a small balcony overlooking the street. Breakfast was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. Location was perfect - a short walk to the main sights in Valletta, no more than 5 mins to bars and restaurants and a 10 min walk to the high speed ferry terminal to Gozo. Highly recommended

We’ve just spent a fantastic week at Palazzo Consiglia. The hotel is in a delightful quiet spot, close to everything including harbour swimming spots. The accommodation is fantastic and the breakfast epic. We can’t thank the staff enough for their hospitality. This is a hotel that treats guests like part of the family. Nothing was too much effort and their recommendations perfect. We hope to return again and again. Thank you everyone.

The hotel staff were amazing from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and would make a point of talking to us everyday. We have never stayed anywhere that has made us feel more welcome from the management to the utility staff. We haven't been to Malta before and staying at this hotel made it even more special. The breakfasts were tasty, bed was super comfy. Other highlights were the pool terrace and private use of the indoor spa. Would highly recommend staying at The Palazzo Consiglia you won't be disappointed.

This is a great, small and friendly hotel ideally located close to main streets and harbour in Valletta. Great greeting with very useful information including information on restaurants and local maps. Inside of building certainly lives up to description and pictures. Lovely welcome basket including drinks and snacks and lovely note. Breakfast was fantastic with wide range of cold buffet items plus an a la carte choice of hot food options. Every members of staff was so kind, helpful and polite. What a great team. The weather was exceptionally hot so the air conditioning was very welcome. The rooftop pool was an added bonus with plenty of room to relax on sunloungers or take a refreshing dip. The whole experience resulted in a very relaxing and stress free holiday. Definitely recommended.
