First thing we noticed about this hotel is that a LOT of areas were under construction. The area where the main lobby is is very dark. They definitely need more lighting in there. Our room was on a recently renovated floor, so it was nice. The only thing was there was a smell in the room that we couldn’t get rid of. It smelled like someone had been smoking in there and they tried to air it out, but it lingered. We went to the pool twice during our stay. It can get crowded at times. We thought it odd that to get to the pool, you had to walk through the restaurant. But maybe that was because so many things were being renovated? The pool was nice, just against wish there were some no smoking areas there. It was hard to get away from the smell of cigarette smoke. The breakfast and dinner buffets were both pretty good. I especially enjoyed the desserts at dinner. One thing though, no one would ever come to our table so that we could order drinks every time we went there. So we would often go back up to the room and bring down a water. Then be questioned where we got the water from. Yet no one would let us order drinks. The gym there is basically unusable. It has a tile floor which makes it slippery since it’s connected to the spa and it’s very humid. A lot of the equipment is super rusty and it’s so hot down there, it’s not worth it to work out. Overall, this is an ok hotel. It definitely needs improvements. I would say to check it out after they’ve completed their renovations.
