The Obama Onsen Ryokan Yunoka provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Obama Onsen Ryokan Yunoka is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Unzen. The hotel is located approximately 17km from Isahayahigashikoko-Mae Station and 44km from Amakusa Airport. The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including Hamanoyu, Tokenyama Park and Obama Marine Park. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings.
Hotel location is good, go right and turn to the hot spring shrine, then enter the hot spring hell area, walk about half an hour, a very good feeling. The breakfast is rich and the food is served. We live in a Japanese tatami for six people and are very suitable for family trips. The hotel is too old and some facilities can't keep up with the new hotel. The parking lot is large and there is no problem parking. The fly in the ointment is likely to be economically depressed. The nearby restaurants have not been opened. After a long walk, the supermarket's talents have been asked to find a delicious restaurant (the hotel will turn left about 500 meters after going out). There is also the hot spring water is too hot, higher than 40 degrees, can not stand for a few minutes.
This hotel booked in the name of the Secret Soup Association, 100% of the source confirmed that the quality of the spring did not say that there are three family soups, very private and very good experience. The hotel itself is small and exquisite, the decoration reveals the intention, the old and warm feeling. There is a Japanese girl who knows a little Chinese and is very cute!
highly recommended
This year, the hotel with the best experience of ”one berth and two meals” in Kyushu, Unzen Fukudaya, has been managed by the family for 50 years, and is now the second-generation operation. Inquiries: info@fukudaya.co.jp The most important thing is that there is a patient and careful Chinese young couple working in the store, one is responsible for the front hall and the other is responsible for catering. Traffic problems. Dinner was good, sulphur springs were good, and it was not expensive to book a private pool, which was great. Very worthwhile hotel, will organize friends to go next time! Reminder, there are Island Rail 1-day or 2-day tickets sold in Isahaya (Adult 3500 / Child 1750 yen, including trains and cars). If you go directly to the hotel from Isahaya, it is recommended to take a bus directly in Isahaya , About 50 minutes. If you want to take a small yellow train deliberately, you must get to the main station Shimabara, change the bus in the direction of Unzen at the gate, and it will take 2 hours to get to the hotel.

Outstanding
MM9025The environment is so good, the sulfur hot springs here♨️are definitely real hot springs♨️!
The hotel is located in Unzen City, which is a resort for Kyushu people. The Unzen Hell Scenic Area is right next to the main road. It is very large and feels more shocking than the Hell Valley in Hakone. The hotel's breakfast and dinner are gorgeous, but to be honest, the meat is a bit thin. The open-air bath and large bath are both good, especially the open-air bath facing the forest landscape and open for a long time.
The best thing is the service. Although some service staff don't speak English very well, they are very enthusiastic. Knowing that we didn't drive by ourselves, they sent us to another city a hundred kilometers away in a commercial vehicle.
In fact, the transportation of the hotel itself is also very convenient. If you come from Shimabara, you can arrive directly at the hotel door. If you come from Isahaya or Nagasaki, the bus will go to the city center and you need to transfer or walk to the hotel in about 15 minutes. The only drawback is that the room does not have a bathroom, which is more like a traditional Japanese hotel.
NNuonuokafeiThe hotel is located in Unzen, Nagasaki. Transportation in Unzen is inconvenient. There is no train station for public transportation, only a bus stop. The hotel is in front of the Unzen Information Center. You can get there immediately after getting off the car. There are staff at the door who warmly welcome you. This is a time-honored hotel that opened in 1917. Now it has been renovated. The main restaurant can still see its original appearance. The space is decorated with high peach and classical styles, facing the fairy atmosphere of hell. It is very classic and tasteful. The rooms all have hell views. There are three high-end hotels in Unzen. Kyushu Unzen faces the main view of hell. Kai Unzen faces a smaller hell view but has large windows and a good view. Unzen Miyazaki Hotel also has a good view of hell and has one. The garden is very beautiful, but I didn’t book this hotel because I didn’t have room and board for one person. Three hotels are within walking distance. Kyushu Unzen has French cuisine for dinner, which tastes good and has good ingredients. The Japanese and Western set meals are available for breakfast, which is also good. The hotel does not have a large public bath. Each room has a bathing pool. The hot spring water contains Yunohana, which is acidic and not as slippery as other hot springs. The room has a Japanese tatami which is useless and takes up space. The shortcomings of the facilities are that the hair dryer is poor, there is no overall control of the lights, and the panel has bright spots that affect sleep. Someone in the lounge serves coffee and alcohol for free, and there is a terrace with views and tea on the top floor. Compared to the hotel, the sulfur smell is much stronger than that of Kai. In short, it is recommended to stay in Unzen. The last picture is Unzen Miyazaki and Unzen Kai.
CChocoAlisonHotel facilities are very new and can borrow different colored bathrobes. Each room has a separate hot spring, if the bathroom and private hot spring lighting are brighter. The room can see the sea view, but there is a large parking lot separated. Convenient transportation, the bus station is diagonally opposite, there is a high-speed bus stop to Nagasaki a little before walking. The hotel is facing the foot bath 105 on the beach. The weather is good and the sea breeze is blowing. It feels very pleasant to have a drink with your feet. Dinner is in the form of fine dinning and food. It is very careful. After staying for two days, the dishes are different (but the portion is much less compared to the hotel next door). Friends do not eat fish raw, you can also tell the front desk to help arrange. The only thing that is not satisfied is that the hotel window cannot be opened. The air by the sea should be very fresh and the sea breeze can be blowing, but the window cannot be opened. The room feels stuffy. There is a handwriting shop diagonally opposite the hotel to buy seafood. When you walk in, you can smell a scent. It is a grilled salmon cake on the spot. It is super delicious and must be tried! ! There are packaged to buy home as a handwriting.
SSalmon AidanUnzen is a magical place, with all the volcanic steam rising from the ground and the lush greenery dotting the town. I thought it was truly beautiful and this KAI hotel made it doubly special. The services were top-notch, the kaiseiki dinners delicious and interesting, and room was good sized. I am not a fan of traditional Japanese ryokans, so this was a good compromise, and I enjoyed myself there very much!
SShihutaoyaThe recommendation I saw on youtube was attracted by the invincible sea view. You can see the blue sea as soon as you walk into the room, of course you have to have a good weather~
The self-contained hot spring is very suitable for families and couples.
Breakfast is delivered to the room, rich western set menu, and warm miso soup.
GGuest UserExcept for the musty smell that was a bit strong before turning on the air conditioner, other facilities and services were okay.
My room is the only one in the same group that has a musty smell problem! So I think luckily, traditional hot spring hotels still have their praises.
GGuest UserIt was right next to ”Unzen Jigoku” and the hot spring source was directly raised, so the hot water was very good and the satisfaction was high.
The meal was also rich in local ingredients, and I learned to talk.
JJiangluluHygiene: very clean
Facilities: The entire hotel is very hot. The air conditioner is central air-conditioning. It is also very hot when turned on to the lowest setting. There wasn't even a fan in the area where I took a shower and put on my clothes after soaking in the hot springs, so I was sweating again after getting dressed. The dining area is so stuffy that eating a meal feels like a sauna.
Service: The front desk service is good, but the check-out time is very early, so please book with caution. Hot spring hotel restaurants in Japan don’t even have Japanese menus. I asked the waiter if they had Japanese menus, and they said they were all in English. With the level of English that Japanese people have, can they understand it?
