Hi all! I booked the hotel through tripcom from Russia, payment in rubles. The pleasant owner of the hotel checked us in early and treated us to a drink. breakfasts are typical for Sri Lanka, scrambled eggs, toast with jam, fruit plate, drink. The room is cleaned every day, water and tea/coffee are provided. There are no insects in the room. There is air conditioning, refrigerator, safe. 5 minutes walk to the sea, nearby fruit shops, shops, restaurants. Nice rooms, nice people, very quiet, good service, green garden, distaned from noisy street, clean room every day, has everything even socket adapters, kettle and so on. You can come in and out at night with no problems, if any problems always have people ready to solve them

The hotel is a little less new than in the public photos, but some rooms are being renovated. The first impression is a little mixed, the room is small, but it has everything you need, the plumbing works, in a few days we managed to settle in and even feel the special charm of this place. We had a large balcony and a view of the inner garden and the jungle - and this is a very peaceful sight, especially in the rain or early in the morning, when the inhabitants of the jungle stomp and fly about their business through the quiet and green territory of the hotel. Sincere and pleasant hosts, delicious breakfasts, a spacious breakfast area, there is also a small garden, a library and a sofa for relaxation. There are many squirrels, peacocks, large black monkeys come on the territory. It is very quiet, you should not hear discos. The beach is not far away, 5 minutes walk. Shops and cafes are within walking distance, 2-5 minutes.

I will not recommend this hotel to anyone, despite all its advantages, there is one huge big minus that erased all impressions and ruined the vacation. Without any explanation, we were moved to a nearby guest house, which was 2 times cheaper. We had paid for 12 nights, but after 10 days the hotel apparently wanted to accommodate new tourists. The room they provided instead was not of the appropriate category. There was no furniture in it, only a bed. We spent half the day arguing and quarrelling, instead of swimming in the ocean and enjoying the vacation, we ran around the territory with suitcases. The new room was very noisy, it is located right at the entrance to the hotel, we were unable to sleep. They did not provide a blanket. The suitcases are still unpacked, we only took out the necessary things, coming on vacation and constantly packing and unpacking them was not part of my plans.

We had a wonderful time here from October 13th to 23rd, we had room 11. It's just a delight - it's like living in the jungle. I went out onto a huge beautiful balcony and listened to the sounds of nature, rain...watching birds, palm squirrels, insects❤ Very good, responsive and hospitable hosts, a family hotel with pleasant unobtrusive service and excellent staff. The room has everything, cleaning every day, linen/towels changed every 3 days, everything is clean and beautiful! There were never any living creatures in the room, as well as mosquitoes! A normal standard breakfast, always ripe and tasty fruits - pineapple, papaya, mango, egg dishes, toast, butter, jam - that was enough for us. It's 3-4 minutes to the ocean if you pass through any restaurant on the shore. Nearby are shops and fruit stands. In the evening, you can hear calming mantras from the Devol Devalaya temple. We wish Villa Watuna good luck and prosperity, and the owners health and a happy life! I recommend this to everyone as a wonderful place to relax and get away from the noise of big cities.
