I rested in this hotel from 11/18 to 11/29. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the owner of the guest house Nalaki. He creates a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere in this place. The room has air conditioning, a fan, a refrigerator, a safe, a four-poster bed, a clothes hanger (there is no closet), towels, a kettle, there is no water either, but you can buy it in the store around the corner. There are some small cleaning issues, but these are little things that you no longer pay attention to on the second day of rest. And not all rooms have private balconies, as I thought, but they all have a common terrace. Don't worry about being confused by people walking by - the hotel has only 7 rooms and there are very few people. Breakfast is very tasty (scrambled eggs, toast with jam or butter, bananas, papaya, mango, watermelon, yogurt, tea or coffee). The hotel has a good location. Located on the central road, where there is a bus stop, shops and cafes nearby. If you go out and turn left, you will find yourself on the “pedestrian street” where the bulk of all the restaurants and shops are located. You need to walk along this street to the beach. Nice Spa right at the beginning of the pedestrian street. If you leave the hotel to the right and walk along the main road for about 10 minutes, you will reach an alcohol market and next to it there is an excellent fruit stand. Not far from the hotel, about 10 minutes by tuk-tuk, there is a cool beach with turtles, this beach is shallow and there are no waves. Umbrella and 2 sun loungers for the whole day 1500 rupees. Tuk-tuk one way 300-400 rupees. A little further from this beach there is a turtle farm, ticket 1500 rupees. They will tell you about saving turtles and about each species. For $15 they take you on an excursion to the lake, where they will show you black monkeys and monitor lizards, take you to a Buddhist temple and show you how to make cinnamon. From the stop near the hotel you can go to Galle by bus for 80 rupees or by tuk-tuk for 600. I highly recommend visiting the fort. There were no problems with food in the cafe; there are a lot of them around. I asked Nalaki to cook dinner for us twice. I was very pleased with his prices, because they were cheaper than in a cafe and it was very tasty, especially the shrimp! For 1.5 kg of shrimp without heads, pay 6,000 rupees. For 3 fried fish (forgot the name) I also paid 6000 rupees. Therefore, I highly recommend having dinner with him. You can also book excursions from Nalaka. An excursion to the whales cost $50 per person, in agencies nearby it cost $60-65. The owner of the guest house tries to immediately resolve all your questions. And all the locals made a very positive impression on me. Very kind and friendly people. I highly recommend this guest house for your holiday!

So we lived in this Guest House for 12 days. Two adults and a 7 year old child! Pros: The owner is a responsive, nice person who solves everything upon request. Good location to the ocean 5 minutes to the street with a cafe 3 minutes. The room has air conditioning and a fan above the bed. There is good WIFI. There is a balcony where you can sit! Safe! Full of living creatures, monkeys came every other day, chipmunks and monitor lizards were also present. All the benefits! Neutral: Breakfast: eggs in different variations, fruits and local yogurt! Disadvantages: The rooms are already tired, rather shabby, the beds are the same. The bed linen is not very new, there are holes and dirt somewhere that has not been washed off! They changed linen and cleaned only after request! There is no sound insulation at all, you can hear everything as if it was happening in the room. 50% of the working lamps are somehow broken off. The kettle that was in the room is a different story altogether, I think it caught the dinosaurs! The inside of the refrigerator was super dirty, it had probably never been washed. In general, you can live but only for cheap!
