Enjoyed our stay with scenic views over the bay. Good service by friendly staff. Delicious food and reasonably priced with good wine list. Well worth the extra for excellent sea view with balcony. Definitely recommend. Lovely walks over the canal.

Lovely view and walk along the canal. The menu has a good selection of dishes.we had dinner here 2 X the 1st time I had the lamb shank which was well done and tasted good well seasoned, the sauce had a good shine . The ice cream was very good . The fish was good and chicken. The second visit was a little disappointing. The duck was over cooked and chewy, because it was over cooked. The the sweet and sour sauce was not what I expected .sort of tasted sweet and sour but not strong enough. Or enough of it. The sorbet was not right not smooth as it should be , had big luck on s of ice.,But the the berry and apricot tasted good the kiwi did not have much flavour .the sponge cake was a bit strange. Could have had more staff only 3 to cover the bar as well which they did very commendably. Would ho again

This place was recommended by a friend hidden away at the back of ulviston ,I noticed it had good reviews and they lived up to it.The venue haad a good variety of different dishes and had homemade rolls . I had the lamb shank very good & veg and herb potatoes were all cooked to perfection. The restof the meals were also good I had some homemade ice cream which was also to a high stranded and tasted good. We had to wait a bit but considering only 2 chefs in the kitchen they did very well. As a chef for over 50 ys It was as good as a mitachlin star restaurant but cheaper. We will be going back this week. Ginger chef

A visit for evening meal. The pub is located in a stunning position overlooking Morecambe Bay. The bar area is everything a traditional pub should be with exposed beams, comfortable seating and lots of little alcoves. The hand pulled cask beer was good. We dined in the conservatory. This has views to die for and there can't be many restaurants that have such a fantastic outlook. The food was incredible. The fillets of steak beautiful and cooked just as requested. The homemade icecream and brandysnap basket was a perfect dessert. Will definitely be back.

Set in a lovely location with great views from the conservatory, however, tables were badly stained, outdated decor and the food was a total tip off. Paid £10 for a sandwich that had been prepared for a toddler which arrived in four tiny triangles on thick supermarket bread with crusts cut off. Sandwich was accompanied by a "salad" consisting of what appeared to be left overs i.e. limp discoloured leaves, a couple of beansprouts and an insignificant piece of boiled egg crushed on top, yak!

We went as a family of 5 to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. As always the food was delicious. Everything on the plate tastes different unlike in most places where everything tastes the same. Every time we eat there the food is consistently tasty. There is a good choice for meat eaters and vegetarian and lovely touches like freshly baked bread rolls that are brought before the meal.

Had an evening meal in the conservatory of the Bay Horse hotel. We had lunched there successfully on previous occasions. Great views across Morcambe Bay as a backdrop, especially when the tide is running. On this occasion we booked in for dinner as casual guests - which was probably an error - the service certainly favoured the residents. An unexpected warm quality roll was a treat, followed by excellent fish starters. Then came the long wait for a main course. Eventually a very good chicken course arrived. Unfortunately the quality of the lamb shank was not as high (an over large portion that was overcooked) . Casual service added nothing to the occasion.
