This hotel was perfectly fine for what we needed on our road trip up to the redwoods. I would stay here again. Some of the breakfast food was not good, but there was enough that we found plenty to eat without issue. Check in was easy. Easy to find location.

Overall was a fine night. Building was quiet, staff was pleasant, room was clean. But how are there so few outlets, particularly none around the desk/TV area? Just install a lamp with some built-in outlets. It's not complicated. I would note that there are a decent number of hobos in the area so keep your car interior clean. Didn't see any evidence of break-ins around the parking lot but it's always a risk.

I spent one night here on a trip up Hwy 101, then, 4 nights later, another night on my way back down. Location is very convenient; it's just a couple blocks from the off-ramp. The staff are friendly and welcoming and check-in was very fast. Rooms are large and clean, and breakfast was fine. Decent freer shower in a large bathroom. It's nice to have a fridge and microwave. The issue is that it's an older building with some older building problems. There aren't enough outlets where you want them. None at the desk, for example. And the walls are very thin. My first night I heard every word of my neighbors' conversation, even though they weren't talking loudly. Then I heard them having sex. Ugh. The second night I heard my neighbor snoring.

Quick one night stay on our way to the Redwoods County. The hotel is conveniently located close to 101 Freeway, many eating options and across te street is a Walmart to get whatever you forgot to bring for your trip The room was clean (little dated but all functional), HVAC worked perfectly, free parking, and included complimentary breakfast. The windows in the room opened so it was a plus for us (COVID concern) Staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely consider staying at this hotel again.

I tend to use mostly Marriott affiliated properties and called about this Fairfield property to use as a base for two nights in order to arrive from Napa and Sonoma Wine Country, get a good night's rest, then travel up into the Avenue of the Giants the next day, then back to the hotel for our second night, before departing for Monterey and Big Sur. Clean. Modern. Sanitized for Covid. Excellent! The location is fantastic! There's modern shopping, service stations, fast food restaurants, and a Walmart--all within a half mile of the hotel. And it's just one block off Hwy 101. Super convenient for everything...and provides a perfect location between wine country and the redwoods of Humboldt County. Management was friendly, helpful, and extremely accommodating! Perfect for any trip to wine country, coastal highway, or heading north to the Humboldt Redwoods! Five Stars! *****
