We stayed here several years ago and loved it but it's not as nice as it used to be :'( It's suppose to be non-smoking but our room really smelled of smoke. I really don't think it's worth as much as we paid for it this time. Worth about as much as I would pay for a Motel 6.

I absolutely ADORE this motel! If you want to step back in time and stay at a beautiful, bright, CLEAN, well kept motel- this is your place! It’s above and beyond. The towels were big and fluffy, the shower was great- excellent water pressure and nice and hot! I could not be happier with our experience at all! Excellent price, comfortable bed, clean room and wonderful customer service. Front desk was knowledgeable about the local trails as well. I could not and would not change one thing about this place. Loved it and will be back next year! Thank you to all of you that have rebuilt and recreated this motel to bring it back to life. You have done a spectacular job! Kudos to you and thank you for sharing!

I didn't know this was a Stash Hotel when I booked and was pleasantly surprised to find out it was. I love the Roadrunner! I hope I can stay here again sometime and bring along friends and family. We were on a Rt 66 trip and this was the perfect place. Very cool and clean. The decor was retro 60's and even had an old time radio playing actual commercials and radio broadcasts. Brought back so many memories and fun! The room had all sorts of fun touches. The bed was wonderfully comfortable - all the modern convenience with a bit of nostaglia. We had wonderful conversations with the host/front desk lady. She came out and took our picture out front. Made us feel right at home. Great location - across the street from a lovely Rt 66 diner- Kixs on 66 - that we had breakfast at. Looking forward to staying here again!

Previously, we wanted to stay at Roadrunner Lodge in Tucumari, NM but travel itinerary didn’t allow us to stop. This time we planned for a stop at the Road Runner Lodge and were not disappointed! The friendly owner gave us a newly remodeled room which was decorated in a Retro style with a Tiki flair. The rooms were newly painted with colorful graphics. Each decorative touch enhanced the retro fell. The room was clean with new carpet and air conditioning. The hotel had an outdoor fire pit to enjoy with other guests on a cool evening. The colorful exterior of the hotel was well maintained and pleasing. Tasty dining options were within walking distance.

My husband and I were meeting friends at the Roadrunner to have a Route 66 gathering and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of David owning the hotel. Our room was absolutely spotless! The large bed was very comfortable. The room was nicely decorated and cozy. I would consider the rooms at the Roadrunner a class act, perfect for all travelers, but especially Route 66 lovers. The room where the ice machine was kept was below our room, but we never heard any of the usual loud noises that go along with that. In fact, our friends enjoyed a gathering outside by the fire pit one evening, I stayed in the room with a headache and did not hear them; our Route 66 group can be a little loud sometimes…

We stayed in a 60s room complete with RC cola and moon pies! Great little retro hotel for our stop on Route 66. David, the host is friendly, personable and made us feel like we were old friends! He will even dim the lights by the fire-pit if you request it! The room was clean, beds comfortable and had everything we needed! Thanks David! We had a great night at your place!

Arriving after about 675 road miles this was great. Mgr advised room was ready, unlocked, with key on vanity and kind of 60’s vibe music playing on a radio. Big room two very comfortable beds. Nice big bath towels and window shades that really keep the light out and provide privacy.

The Road Runner was recommended by a hotel next door that was full. Getting a room was easy process over the phone. We arrived and were pleasantly surprised. Super clean, everything in working order. It was 100 degrees outside and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Coffee and treats available in the morning….great place to stay.

This was an AWESOME stop!!!! What an amazing job they did with renovations and staying true to the 60’s. From the decor to the moon pies and RC Colas in the room and the 60’s music and commercials that were playing. The room was IMMACULATE and the bed so comfy! Loved it!
