A comfortable bedroom room, in a charming old historical house, at a convenient location for seeing family nearby, I can't fault it. Thank you.

Our stay at this hotel left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. While I wouldn't go so far as to say avoid it entirely, I can't recommend it or see myself returning. The room, advertised as having a king-size bed, disappointingly turned out to be a double. Despite the hotel's emphasis on green choices, the room was unbearably warm upon arrival. We had to open both the windows and the door just to cool it down. This lack of basic comfort seemed counterintuitive to their eco-conscious branding. Furthermore, small but crucial amenities were absent, such as a hairdryer, and some lights weren't working. The absence of an in-room phone meant there was no easy way to request these missing items, adding to the overall inconvenience. The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. The so-called buffet consisted of a small, albeit pleasant, continental breakfast. However, being asked immediately upon arrival if we'd like to pay an additional £10 for a cooked breakfast made the setup feel misleading. At £14.50, the continental breakfast alone did not feel like good value.  The restaurant also had a notice about a £2.50 charge for menu amendments. While I understand the principle of upcharges, this particular policy felt excessive and off-putting. These issues were compounded by a lack of personal touches that form the foundation of good customer service. No one asked at checkout or during breakfast how our stay had been, a small but impactful gesture that could have mitigated some of our disappointments. In hindsight, I feel I overpaid by about 20-30% compared to the value I received. Knowing what I do now, I likely wouldn't have chosen this hotel for our stay.

Last month we got married at The Moonraker Hotel, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue. Courteney and the team were brilliant throughout the entire planning process. We could tell we were in safe hands right from our initial viewing – the team have so much experience between them. The ceremony room and the marquee were stunning and we had drinks and photos in the beautiful gardens. The wedding breakfast was excellent – we were so pleased with the quality of the food – our guests all agreed. It was the perfect setting and we would highly recommend!

The stay was everything we imagined it was a beautiful location with a fantastic room. The food was absolutely brilliant I could not fault it! I am gluten free and nothing was a problem I was well catered for. The only thing I would say is that in the rooms it would be nice to have a few bottles of water available as I was very thirsty in the night and I didn’t want to drink the tap water out of the bathroom. All in all a lovely stay.

We recently had our wedding at The Moonraker , we viewed it a year before and decided it was the venue for us & they did not disappoint!! From the get go they were helpful , understanding , organised and friendly! It was the perfect venue, all the staff went above and beyond for us! They worked seamlessly together and extremely efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I woke up the morning after fully expecting to clear up the marquee from our wedding breakfast and to my surprise the staff had already been in and cleared it for me and all our items were in a neat pile. I need to give a special mention to Courtney and Susie! They were both fantastic and really gave a laid back energy but also got the job done and they did a fantastic job!! All our guests have commented saying what a great venue it was 💕

Has definitely seen better days in the past. I have stayed here over 10 times in the last 5 years and I have noticed a real decline in the product of the rooms, there used to be nice high quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Now there is just a cheap shampoo stuck on the wall. The quality of the teas and coffees used to be higher. The restaurant menu used to be better. The staff at dinner were great, really nice. But there needed to be more, or at least another chef, and some people were waiting a long time. They were doing everything. I don’t want to down vote this place as it did used to be my go to when I’m in the area. But definitely in the last 12 months it’s been getting worse and someone needs to save it quickly before it’s too late. The positives are, great price, if you book direct also. And the area is also nice. Really good pub/ boathouse 15-20 minute walk.

What a lovely find for a last minute stop over. We had a great overnight stay in a superior double - lovely comfortable bed , clean room with all required amenities. Tea & Coffee , Iron . tv , bath & shower. We had dinner in the restaurant - food was excellent. It has a lovely relaxed feel , staff so friendly & attentive. Nothing too much trouble. Continental breakfast was included in the deal - we upgraded to cooked for £10pp it did not disappoint. Coffee at breakfast was spot on - so many hotels serve awful coffee this was fabulous!!
