This is the first time I have ever written a review as I feel it will save a lot of people a lot of money. We stayed at this premier inn for 2 nights and the standard was ok, our room wasn’t that clean, there was tooth paste over the vanity shelf and up the side of the wardrobe and also our bathroom bin hadn’t been emptied, however the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was really nice with everything available. The main reason I’m writing this though is the parking situation, you can use the car park between 5pm and 9am for free but then you have to get a ticket from the machine in the car park for 3 hours of free parking taking you to 12pm. We followed all the parking rules, we didn’t park until after 5 and got our 3hours of free parking between 9am and 12pm and we were out of the car park before 12pm. But this morning I have received 2 parking fines for £60 each! Luckily we kept our tickets that we got from the machine and my husband also had taken a photo of the notice board with the parking regulations on. I will of course appeal as I have the evidence to do so, but how many people will keep their tickets in the car for 2 weeks or remember what the parking notice said. I’m sure this is a great money making scheme for the car park owners. Premier Inn, please warn your guests to keep all their tickets to avoid costly fines.
