Stayed for 2 nights! The room was cosy, and cute. The bed was really hard though, but the pillows were thick and soft! It was tidy and clean, and the bathroom was great with good pressure in the shower! The rooms had a TV with chromecast! Also the lights in the room were easy to control :) The hotel is really close to airport and traffic, but it's well isolated so we didn't get bothered by the noise of the traffic. As mentioned the hotel is close to ”jekta”, just a few minutes walk. And it's not a long drive if you prefer to bathe at ”Tromsø badet” It's easy to get there by car, but if you don't like driving there is a bus stop for route 28 right beside the hotel which makes it easier to travel to the mainland and back. Reception, bar and breakfast is at the top floor, with lot of room to he social or just enjoy the sight alone. They also had board games you could use! The only REALLY minus of our stay were that the service were a bit slow. We asked for help with the TV several times without luck. But I am not to mad about it due to few personel and high workload while we were there. (And the personel were really nice and polite) The hotel may wanna make an easier note that breakfast is NOT included in the room (as they traditionally are in tromsoe). And also how much breakfast cost! On your website it only says when breakfast is served (and that it's free until March 2024, which it were not). We were informed in the morning breakfast was 199 NOK per person, luckily with shopping center close by, and food market breakfast is easy to acquire. To sum it up: will stay at the hotel next time as well!

The location is excellent, only a three- to five-minute walk from the event center and one minute from the bus station. The front desk restaurant and room service staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is not too small for this city and the bed is a bit soft. The most commendable thing is that it includes breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea, which are served for a long time. There is basically no need to go out to eat in restaurants. Especially when you come with friends, you can eat in the restaurant at your own pace, saving a lot of time. You know During the peak tourist season, it takes a long time to wait for a seat at an outside restaurant to order a meal. The variety and taste of the food are pretty good. It is a highly recommended hotel.

My wife and I arrived the early morning of Monday, June 10th. We had just arrived after our NCL cruise, and were hoping to drop off our luggage until check in time. Upon arrival it was freaking busy, with numerous cruise ship people both coming, and heading out. With that, we were greeted right away, and offered a meeting room to store our luggage until check in. Everyone we met at the hotel, from the front desk workers, to the numerous women working in the dining room area, were wonderful. We came back sometime after 3pm, and our room was still not ready. No big deal, as we then checked out more of Tromso, and had dinner. We were eventually checked in. Our room was clean and comfortable. It looked good and it smelled good. The beds were comfortable. Everything worked well. The shower door setup was something of a mess. You would have water all over the bathroom floor unless you limited the water flow, and made sure the shower head was more in a certain direction. After the learning curve we were able to somewhat control the size of the water on the floor. The room faced the back of the building, right against an office building. If you were not careful you could give some of the office workers quite a show. The beds were comfy. And the star of the show was the complimentary breakfast, afternoon cake and coffee, and the complimentary dinner. The breakfast was very yummy, with lots of choices, both hot and cold items. Along with coffee and juices. The afternoon coffee had some very yummy cakes. And the dinner was super good, and varied each night. All the meals seemed like there was some serious thought and effort to the spread. The dinner was a very pleasant surprise. Each day they posted the dinner menu. The hotel is right downtown, close to everything. So convenient. We had a wonderful stay. We would absolutely stay again.

Great hotel with a great view if facing the sea.
Good location as most tour has a meeting point nearby.
Fantastic breakfast.
The only minus point is that..the front desk reception staffa are very rigid.
They wouldn't let you check in even if room is ready 1hr before check in at 3pm.
Official check in time is 4Pm.
Overall..its a fantastic hotel.

Arriving in Tromso, I felt like I was in the Arctic Circle as soon as I got off the plane. It was so beautiful! The hotel was great and the stay was great.
The breakfast was very rich, in a buffet style, with a lot of food.
The location of the hotel was very good. It was very convenient to walk to the pier to see the Arctic Cathedral on the other side and the Tromso Bridge. It was also very close to the main street, just a few minutes' walk away.
Highly recommended!

The best way to describe this hotel is average in every way. Everything in Tromso is ”central” - it's not a big place so that isn't really a selling point. The rooms are very small (even the ”deluxe” ones) and there are only two elevators for a pretty sizable 8 story hotel so get ready for the stairs. I paid extra to be on the 8th floor because I read the reviews about the nightclub underneath and boy they were right - I could hear thumping well into the night so bring your earplugs (the club appears to only be open Thursday - Saturday so if you're travelling outside of that, I'm sure it's more tolerable to try to sleep). Hindsight being 20/20, I would've paid $30-40 more to stay at one of the better rated hotels.

The breakfast was great, there was absolutely nothing missing and left nothing to be desired. The location right in the city center was also perfect. The bathroom was good, especially the shower was great! The lobby and breakfast room are attractively furnished. We had booked a family room (up to 4 people) for 3 adults. The room was much, much too small for this! There was only one space for suitcases and no storage for packing and unpacking. As the suitcases were very dirty due to the winter weather, it was out of the question to put them on the bed. There were no closets, shelves or anything like that, just a coat rack. There were not enough hooks in the bathroom. There was also no safe. It would be nice if there was a shoe shine machine in the house, absolutely essential in muddy weather. Also, the carpeting in the hallways is very run down.

Very nice hotel with fantastic staff. It's a modern hotel and sort of designed like a ship. It's located right on the waterfront - make sure you get one of the corner rooms that feesl like it juts out into the harbor and has great views of the water, the comings and goings of the ferries and the not-so-distant peaks. The rooms are somewhat on the smaller side but very nicely appointed and quiet. The breakfast spread is perfectly fine. But a special shoutout to the checkin staff - Johannes and Torkel - both of whom were courteous, friendly and really helpful.

GGuest Usershort version: cozy, clean, & relaxing. Comfy beds. Good food. Great for getaways. But if you’re doing multiple excursions, the drive can be draining & eat into your vacation. Staff was friendly. Owners not so much. Detailed version: Absolutely charming! Very clean & comfy. My mom & I stayed in cabin #4 & it’s right next to the dining hall. The cabin has 2 rooms, an entryway, & a bathroom. One room had a built-in bed, nightstand, windows, & chair. The other room had a built-in bed, nightstand, windows, & another separate bed with different covers & possibly a different mattress. The built-in beds we so soft & cozy! Both rooms had small, plug-in radiator heaters & they’re super efficient! There are no dressers or cabinets for clothes so we left ours in our suitcases & put them open under our beds. There’s lots of open space under the beds (may be a nice idea to convert part of that into cubbies or drawers?). You will need outlet converters if you’re not from Europe. The bathroom has a small sink, toilet, shower, one shelf & hair dryer. Toilet paper is provided. And liquid hand soap that smells fantastic. One bath towel & one hand towel provided per guest (more available upon request). **no wash cloths** so bring your own. The entry way to the cabin has heated tile flooring which was a nice touch. No outside shoes are to be worn in the bedrooms or bathroom, so shoes are to be removed in the entryway. It would be very helpful to have a chair or bench here for shoe removal/application. There are coat hanging hooks along 2 of the walls in the entryway which was great. The bedroom doors & bathroom door all have hanging hooks on them. Thank you!!! Such a big help. It would be very helpful to have a few more shelves for toiletries and small belongings. There’s plenty of wall space in the rooms & bathroom for free-floating shelves. The dining room consists of 6-8 tables. Some are 2-seaters. Some are 6-seaters and can be rearranged as needed. Soft, relaxing music plays in the background while you’re served delicious foods made straight from their kitchen, with some of it sourced from their farm. The ambience is really peaceful. You must try the carrot cake & the almond cake. Both were fantastic!!! They have several blends of teas. Coffee & cappuccinos are available. There are some lamb skins from their own farm available for purchase along with handmade soaps, knitwear, & other items. There’s a living room with couches upstairs in that building. Outside shoes are not allowed past the entryway so it helps to brings slippers or thick socks. The parking lot designated for guests is down a significantly steep hill. Maybe a hundred yards or so in distance. Parking at your cabin is allowed only during brief moments like loading/unloading your vehicle. If the owner sees your vehicle parked outside the cabin for longer than 15 minutes, you will receive a knock on the door with a somewhat urgent request to move your vehicle. This becomes especially tricky i
QQuailsroostUsual poor service which seems to be a trademark in Norway. Front Desk Clerk couldn’t care less about service or customers. Room had no view at all so requested a change which was provided. Condition of room was so so with surface mounted electric cables and sprinkler pipes. Not exactly appealing. Carpeting on the hallway was ripped and a tripping hazard. Hotel was over run with Tour Bus guests which overwhelmed the breakfast room which was a mass of uncleared dirty tables. Reassessing further stays with Thon
OOuzhousheyingtuanyixianshengThe room was nice and clean. The facilities in the bathroom were not very good. The environment was beautiful and on an island, a good choice for taking photos of the aurora. The parking lot was large and free.
EExcursion287061The location is great for visiting Tromso. We walked to the Cathedral and to the city easily. We stayed in their explore cabin for one night and one night on a pitch in turf. The receptionist told us that when we checked out at 1pm we could go to cabin because nobody was there the night before. We said how kind. When we went in at 1:30 the next day,Maya was about to give us the keys and Victoria interrupted in Norwegian and said that the cabin was being cleaned. We know nobody stayed in any of the cabins the night before because we had to walk to see if our campervan would fit in parking space. She then lied again and said the windows were being cleaned. Which was another lie. We understand that check-in was 3pm to the cabin. For some reason she didn’t want to let us check in earlier. Customer service is if you can accommodate why wouldn’t you? Her co-workers said we could and they even looked dumbfounded when she interrupted them. (We never asked to check-I’m early) On Taco Night” we saw Victoria. She was off shift at 6:35pm on Friday, she deliberately went in front of other guests and ate all the meat, ect. piling on so much food on her plate eating everything and the rest of us in line got nothing. We asked the cook if she was going to make more she said she wasn’t making more. It was an all you can eat buffet until 8pm. The male receptionist asked the quests if they wanted a refund. We got our money back and left. Overall the place is great to visit Tromso and the staff was great except for Victoria. I’m not sure if she was having a rough day,but she needs a refresher in Customer Service. We Came back the next morning and the chef with pink hair was amazing and the breakfast was great!
What I liked - the location, the staff, comfortable bed, breakfast. What could be improved - add espresso/cappuccino machine and pastries , there was a sign in the room saying the room is cleaned on Tuesday, but nobody came to empty at least the garbage (there is only 1 small bin in the bathroom). The rooms are not sound proof, so noise is coming both from the street and from the corridor, so bring an ear plugs.
GGuest UserThe hotel could not be in a better location for exploring Tromso and provides very good value. It was easy to travel to and from the airport (although we admittedly got a short taxi) and visit the sights (including getting a bus to the Arctic Cathedral). The room was small, but great value for what we had paid. We were mainly using it as a base in between trips and sightseeing, so it did the job nicely. We had twin beds, a desk and chair, an armchair and a long mirror. The bathroom was also very good - there was always hot water and the shower offered a good water pressure, making it easier to wash your hair after being caught in a snowstorm! The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of food, including my favourite - brown cheese. I would be happy to stay there again.
GGuest UserThe hotel just a few minutes walk to the city center. But very closed to Polaria bus station that I could walk easily with my suitcase. The staff was very helpful even there was a mistake about my check-in information but I did not have to wait too long for that. The room was clean and warm enough.
HHOUQINGThe location of the hotel is good, the equipment is good, but the sanitary conditions are a bit poor, the sanitation is not clean, and there are other people's hair on the pillows.
This holiday was initially booked for March 2020 but due to covid it was postponed for 2 years. The staff kept in contact with me the whole time and I added extra nights. They were so lovely. We were given accommodation outside the city so if I called them they would book us taxi's. The accommodation was beautiful, very clean, modern and fully equipped. This made our stay just so perfect. I would go back 100% and recommend to everybody . Photos are view from the terrace.
GGuest UserGreat location. The staff is great with very good advice on restaurants and activities. Break/Meal room with coffee, tea, biscuits available all day, great. Proximity to the city and all public transport. I recommend without any hesitation. THANKS.
