I decided to go on a one-night, two-day trip with my 2nd grade girl, and I couldn't make a reservation for Kinosaki Onsen, so I found it while looking for a place nearby that had convenience stores and other facilities. There was a hotel nearby with a very similar name that had good reviews and no vacancies, so I didn't have high expectations. However, both the man and woman at the front desk were very kind and polite, and although the room was a semi-double, the bed was large enough for two people to sleep together. The cleaning was also thorough. You can choose between Japanese and Western breakfast options, and the quantity and quality were better than you would expect from a reasonably priced breakfast. I had only reserved breakfast for adults, but would the lady at the cafeteria also prepare rice and soup for my child? Thank you for your consideration and I hope you will go home! He sent me off in a cheerful voice. I am very satisfied with this hotel, which makes me feel very comfortable. It was a very cost-effective hotel. I will definitely stay again!

The environment is good, the ventilation service is good, the price is reasonable, the facilities are poor, and the shower head is broken and leaking should be repaired in time.
Snack vending machines operate around the clock, providing you with easy access to treats regardless of the hour.

Old-fashioned business hotel
Service is also normal in the old days
So it's very good as a cospa.
Anyway, I think it's enough for people who want to stay cheaply without meals

Outstanding
SsteamyboatzLove this quaint little ryokan at Kinosaki! The service is friendly although not much English is spoken there. Expect the staff to introduce you the amenities of the ryokan such as the free first-come -first-serve private onsen (there are a total of 4, but recommend the one named Hana because it's the newest and the nicest). The room itself is tiny but comfortable. There is no shower in the room, so would have to take the shower at the onsen or at the ryokan's own onsen. The room package came with kaiseki (we had the snow crab one) and it was delicious with pretty looking food. The blanket was thick and comfortable, perfect for the cold weather. There was not much view from our room.
GGuest UserA great hot spring resort hotel, the crab dishes are delicious and refreshing, and the service staff are considerate and considerate. It is worth revisiting.
YYuliaDJrIt's a lovely hotel in traditional Japanese style. It has a pretty inside garden and an onsen (no private onsens for booking, only common ones for all hotel guests that are divided for males and females). Hotel provides you with a yukata and a haori for your stay (you don't rent it, they are included in price), which is very convenient. When I asked the receptionist if I can buy them, 'cause I loved them so much, she said I can take them for free if I want. I double checked to avoid any miscommunication, but she insisted that I don't have to pay extra for those. Everything in the fridge, including alcohol, is free. Hotel is a bit far from the main street, but has a transfer, so I'd say it's fine. We ordered a dinner and breakfast, and both were absolutely wonderful, had several courses.
VVT_BTThe hotel is near to the train station, just 5 to 10 mins walk. The room was clean and tidy. Toilet seat, water basins, refrigerator, hot water boiling machine were provided. Staff prepared the Japanese beds for us in the evening. There were a sitting room, book reading areas, smoking room inthe.public area. Private session for private onsens were provided. A free of charge card for the seven hot springs and city bus was provided. The staff were nice and helpful. The environment was quiet and the beds were comfortable.
AAnonymous UserThere is a shuttle bus to the station, the hotel environment is comfortable, and it has a hot spring. The bathroom design is very similar to the hot spring environment, and you can enjoy the riverside view while taking a bath.
SSilverleeThe hotel is new and very good, just next to the public onsen, and they provide the private onsen for reservation which I think is a little bit pricy, 5500yen for 90 mins. My recommendation is use the public onsen outside that would be more traditional
AAigaigaiFirst of all, I would like to thank the housekeeper and customer service specialist of Ctrip for their great assistance when I encountered the unconventional situation of JR cancellation! For overseas travel, use Ctrip!
Secondly, let's talk about the hotel. Advantages:
1. The buffet has a rich variety. There is an older uncle at the front desk who is very enthusiastic to communicate with guests in English and Chinese. It feels like home.
2. The hotel room is also very large.
3. There are free drinks on the first floor at fixed times, although I didn't drink them 👆
Disadvantages:
1. You can't take a bath in the room, you can only go to the large bath on the first floor
2. There are no toiletries in the room. If you don't take them at the fixed time, the staff will take them away at dinner time
3. The quilt in the room is a bit small. I am of very ordinary height, and the length and width of the quilt are a bit lacking
Others:
The Ctrip page says that the bathing tax of 150YAN is paid at the store, but it is actually 450YAN. The description is wrong.
PPiwatUpon arrival, the hotel gave us 2 free tickets for aquarium next to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful with parking valet and our luggage. The room we were in had an amazing view and it is spacious. It’s a Japanese style room and the staff had to come to put out futon for us around dinner time. Communal bath is big with an outdoor onsen. We noticed that they use salt water in the bath and onsen instead of chlorinated water like many other onsen hotel we have stayed in the past. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel but they open rather late at 7 and 8 pm so we didn’t get to try them. Breakfast were the same the whole we stay but they are pretty decent so there is no complaints. I would consider this to be one of the best hotel we have stayed during our trip there.
KK LouThere is no breakfast nor dinner provided by this onsen hotel, and restaurants close a bit early. If you’re looking for an onsen meal, you maybe disappointed if you staying here. Beware if you’re a foodie.
The sound insulation is poor, please keep your voice down. Since the first night I arrived was windy and rainy, and the curtain for blocking the sun is made of bamboo, it kept hitting on the window all night long.
There is no elevators and the stairs is very steep, be careful if you bringing many luggages.
Although the servers do not understand English, they are very friendly and willing to help! Overall, I enjoyed a lot while the staying. Thank you!
AAnonymous UserEverything was good, but when I tried to pay the additional amount when checking out, they told me to pay even the room price I paid in advance when making the reservation, saying it was a 'tax'. After 5 minutes of us checking and finding out, they suddenly said to themselves, ”Oh,” and told me the amount to pay again. It was so
At first, I thought it was a mistake, but when I thought about it, I saw that in Japan, even for small mistakes, they apologize repeatedly and say Moshiwake Gozaimasu, but the employee never said a single word of gomennasai.
Are we Mistake? So, I guess we just said Hi My Steak and that because we are foreigners, we tried to eat the cash by ourselves, but if you read the review, don't live such a pitiful life. Really.
And if you are a foreigner who wants to go here, beware of the guy wearing glasses who looks like the manager.
