Pleasant Motel for the price clean & tidy good facilities in the room with Microwave & Toaster. My rooms only negative blinds allowed to much light in during the night from the outset de light at my room The position was close to good eating spots entertainment & the Strand

Quiet and convenient location. Spacious and comfortable. Nice staff. Relaxed. Happy with the stay. There is a nice clean pool, a designated smoking area. TV works well. On site parking. No rowdy travellers.

Thank you Summit Motel staff and management for making my stay very comfortable. Everyone was very helpful and friendly and for the price, I doubt you could match it anywhere in Townsville for value for money. The kitchenette looked brand new and while a small hop would have been useful, the microwave oven was quite sufficient for my needs. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. The bathroom, while quite adequate was a little tired but I realise the motel is under new ownership and I am sure it will be updated in due course. The free shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, shaving cream, hand/body wash in wall dispensers rather than those tiny plastic bottles was a welcome surprise. The motel is close to the Strand, shops and restaurants. A very easy 10 minute walk into town as it's mostly downhill but of course that means it's uphill on return so bear that in mind if you don't have a car. Overall a very good experience and I'd definitely stay at The Summit Motel again.

Clean , lovely, well equipped room. Great location, pool and friendly staff. We only stayed one night but would definitely return and stay longer. A reasonably long wall to the strand but advise a lift back as it is all uphill.

Motel is a quality stay and the Manager is very obliging and will help you where they can. It is only a short Walk to The Cowboys Club and the Beach Strand. The Pool is very nice a a good swim. There is an outside area with Mountain views and Cafe Tables and Chairs nice for breakfast.

We initially stayed for one night, but found it to be soo nice that we extended our stay for a few more days. We found especially the staff to be very nice and helpful but enjoyed the entire place. On our 6 week vacation this place has the best price value ratio soo far. We 10/10 recommend.

We stayed for 7 nights. When booking the receptionist helped us book a room that was quiet, private and had a view. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is on top of a small hill close to the start of the 'goat track' up Castle Hill, and a 15 minute walk to the CBD in one direction, the Strand in another, and about 20 minutes to the ferry terminals. There is free parking on site.
