It's a business hotel. It is what it is. If you need to stay somewhere reasonably priced, clean and in the CBD, this ticks the boxes. Outside, it's an architectural monstrosity. Inside is a reasonably comfortable hotel. My room was a decent size, clean and reasonably well appointed. My room was on the second floor and I could hear the traffic but the bed was comfy and Townsville is pretty dead at night so it didn't stop me getting a good night's sleep. The TV was modern and easy to log into my streaming accounts. WiFi was fine. I didn't need it, but I was given a wheelchair accessible bathroom. While that's awesome there is one available, there was no shelf or counter to put my toiletries, toothbrush etc. The toilet paper was just sat on the grab rail by the toilet and the lack of screens that make it a great shower for access meant water everywhere. Biggest issue:The lack of hot water. I had to run the shower on full hot for more than ten minutes and still only got a tepid shower. Would I stay again? Yes, as long as I'm not paying. If I was spending my own money, I'd go for something a bit nicer and closer to Palmer St or the strand.
