Beautiful house Quirky attic studios that provided everything we needed. Lots of helpful info pre visit Lovely host James Ideal for exploring beacons etc Merthyr itself is like many post industrial towns ,tired and suffering from lack of investment in the centre . Some beautiful old buildings needing love. Out of town shopping complexes don’t help!

Will stay again It was a lovely stay, just one night before a day at bike park wales. I was told to leave the bike in the hall way and it was fine there. Parking was tight with a bike rack on so i dropped it to get the car over as far as i could. The room was beautifully decorated, bed comfy, shower amazing and the whole place was quiet.

We were here for a few days to explore this part of Wales. This house with self-catering rooms was ideal for our stay. A short walk away is a wonderful cafe with fresh baked goods and a nice espresso. The town centre is a short distance down the hill where there are a few pubs, shops and restaurants. There are some great hiking opportunities nearby as well.

Beautiful Room with a Brilliant View The room was absolutely beautiful and was very impressive coming into the building. The views were great and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was a ladybird infestation which was a bit concerning but nonetheless, the room was brilliant and well worth the money.
