Excellently situated (a couple of blocks from the train station), La Maison Jules has the secret sauce of comfortable lodging, fantastic host, and an ideal location in the heart of Tours. Beautiful lodging! Whenever we happen to be in Tours, this is where we will stay!

We stayed for 3 nights in the room 'Martin'. The room was luxurious and has views over the garden. The bed was very comfortable. It had a large bathroom that had a fantastic shower. Our friends stayed for one night in room 'Leonardo' and also loved it. The house is very tastefully decorated and furnished in a way that retains it historic character with a contempoary touch. It is great for guests to be able to use the separate lounge and to be able to use the kitchen to make a drink. We enjoyed breakfast each day.Alex was an attentive and engaging host who provided lots of helpful information about places to visit and restaurants. It is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in.

Fabulous. La Maison de Jules is a beautiful house conveniently situated near the Musee de Beaux Arts. Our bedroom was huge; tastefully decorated and overlooking the garden. We had a warm welcome from Alexandra who is a natural host. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the kitchen. A delicious continental breakfast is served around the large table with other guests. Highly recommended.

Mon épouse et moi y avons passé deux nuits en semaine. Accueil très chaleureux et attentionné par la propriétaire. Très belle grande demeure ancienne décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Nous avions la chambre Léonard, grande et fort agréable, bien équipée et avec une belle lumière naturelle, et une literie confortable. Petit-déjeuner sympathique et machine à café à disposition en libre accès. Environnement calme et idéalement situé, permettant de visiter une partie de Tours à pied, notamment la vieille ville. Stationnement possible par exemple au parking souterrain de la gare, très proche. Nous reviendrons!

Alexandra, our host, was extremely helpful from the first moment we rang the bell to the time we left. Rooms were spacious and amazingly decorated with luxury details. There were hand painted designs on the ceramic tile in the bath, a large shower and separate tub and two cantilevered sinks, complete with drawers. More luxury abounded in the bedding, towels, robes for guests, wall coverings, furniture, beautiful and original hardwood flooring throughout. Breakfast was special with the usual French offerings and the added choice of ham/cheese/scrambled eggs. The public spaces were also decorated with care and talent.

Et c'est une réussite totale; la communication avant l'arrivée, puis l'accueil, l'élégance de la maison et de sa décoration, le confort . la disponibilité et les conseils de l'hôtesse, l'emplacement (à 10 mn à pied de la cathédrale): tout est parfait!
